I seriously love this ficlet. You've captured Mitsukuni and Takashi's essence in it very well.

I agree, not many people seem to realize/care that Honey HAS been around Mori as long as Mori has been around Honey, and will probably know Takashi just as well as Takashi knows him. And Honey is a lot deeper and observant than people seem to realize/care, as shown by how they know everyone else likes Haruhi here and in the anime and manga, even when the others themselves don't seem to realize.

The fact that Takashi feels so guilty about this is wonderful too. And Mitsukuni accepting Takashi, flaws and all is beautiful, and something that I believe would work both ways within their relationship.

I also loved the way you had Takashi say a few words and want to say more but not know how to. Very in character, very beautiful.

Anyway, again, excellent job writing Mori-kun. I do believe you have a knack for him, something most people don't possess. (Too many ignore him and stick him in with a mere, "Ah" somewhere.) I loved his character here, and it rings so true it's wonderful.

And Hunny-kun! So cute and understanding - again, exactly how I would picture it. He wouldn't hate Takashi for it; maybe be a little sad sometimes (as anyone is when a close friend becomes interested in another), but he would mostly support his friend and find it kind of funny how his cousin was so afraid to admit it.
