This is really quite a beautiful story with such an interesting perspective! I'm a diehard 2x1 fan searching for stuff with DID (as a sort of constructive study break b/c I'm studying psych disorders), I couldn't believe how perfectly your story fit what I was looking for. Oh man, it has certainly been a while since I've read any Gundam Wing fanfics. I remember reading this maybe 3 years ago and reading it again makes me realize how freakin' awesome this is! I noticed that this hasn't been updated in a long while. TT Hopefully u plan to finish, or at least continue it. I am eagerly awaiting any updates!

Duo's crying like a waterfall in this highly dramatic moment but all I can do is laugh my ass off! But then I go back to sympathizing. With maybe a little giggling.

This story strongly parallels the novel, "First Person Plural" by Cameron West. The title was what first drew me to this story. Your portrayal of Duo's dilemma is engrossing, vivid and at times, heart-wrenching. As the reader, I almost felt like I was one of Duo's alters myself, except as an idle observer. That's how strong your writing is and I simply cannot wait for your next set of updates. Since I have read Dr. West's novel, I can already guess what Meyer's problem is and just why Heero's touch disturbs him so much, but I'll leave it to you to surprise me.

I only have two caveats: 1) since this story takes place during the series, there's a discontinuity in your premise for them all living at a safehouse. While you certainly do justify their being together very well, as opposed to many fanfic writers who just have them shacking up for no reason whatsoever, I felt that your elaborate explanation didn't quite cover all the bases. During the show, not once do the scientists ever have the pilots collaborate. When they do end up on the same mission, it is always a coincidence and simply a way for the scientists to ensure success by having a back up. To my knowledge, the five are never gathered together purposefully, in terms of contacting each other and setting up a hit, until the very last of the episodes.

My second caveat is that since this does take place during the series, it'll be awfully interesting to read your explanation for why Heero doesn't act remotely affectionate towards Duo near the end of the series. If anything, the last episodes devote most of his time to fighting Zechs and spending time with Relena. Despite that, I'm very glad that you've already finished this series and are only rewriting/editing, because I know you will give us readers closure. I look forward to that.
