No, wait, hear me out! I love this fic, it's amazing, and I've really warmed to the character of Regulus Black! He's a Slytherin and cunning, but he's so sweet and a little brother at the same time, but...FEELINGS. GODDAMNIT, MY FEELINGS. DAMMIT, SIRIUS, WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE TALKED TO HIM?!

These brothers are the best. Period.

I love this story. The voice you used was just right for this kind of narration. Contemplative, sad, regretful. This was before the last book came out, so it varies from how it really went. While Regulus died a tragic and heroic death in canon, your version has a lost quality to it that draws me in. Both really leave me wondering about the what could have beens. Thanks for writing this :)

An emotional piece. Well written and heart-breaking. Why are most fics centred around Regulus heart-breaking, anyway? The last line was the best: '"Just Regulus," he said, and waited to die.' An abrupt ending that fitly mirrors his life.

I love reading about Regulus; he's like one of the unsung heroes of the book, but he still died in vain. The scene where he waited for Sirius was so sad and I loved the part where he was thinking about writing a letter.

Heart-breaking. Line-breaks might have helped the time-line a little, bit, but stream of consciousness was probably your intent. I really like seeing well done stories about Sirius and Regulus. There aren't enough of them. I enjoyed this.

You're one of my favorite authors! I just read your Romeo/Mercutio/Benvolio fic, Selective Blindness - it was the best I've ever read! I think I adore your writing - I read all your other works in the fandoms I know, and they're so beautiful! You have such wonderful characterization, such real dialogue, such close bonds between characters, such vibrant imagery and wordplay - I love your writing. Amazing!

This was incredible, pure and simple. I adore how you portray Regulus, at the end, making his own rebellion. The line "in all the mess of being Walburga's son and Bellatrix's cousin, perhaps he'd forgotten to be Sirius's brother, too" I really liked, and his pondering of writing a letter to Sirius, and what to say, was really well done, and I love how even at the very end, he's still very admiring of Sirius.

That's sad... But you wrote it very well, good job.

I always feel kind of sorry or regulus. he died in vain and all that.
