To bad you stopped and not going further, it's at least a different story with a another route to things. But please think before you destroy more of your story, there are things that you did so good but other's don't make sense.
-Why are they running? h/hr come together go the his parents graves and come back, no attack what so ever in the mean time. (though they come back and see a destroyed wedding place) and then they hide and go places while there is no danger. You put danger every where while voldy hasn't even taken over?
-Doesn't really make sense his blood whould destroy it, but hey whatever haha.
-They know they love each other and ron seems to accept it, but how you go around it with the fighting is weird and not them bit occ. The locket is destroyed there is not need (mostly harry) to be so angry/snarling and petty to each other, and harry saying they shouldn't be together omg for real! or did you had in mind loyal/hate potions to be used (don't notice love potion) cause don't see when that could have been. please don't.
-Dumbles portrait well that was just lame..

Don't mind the running and stuff, but don't destroy a good story with how h/hr acting to each other it's not them at all.

I liked it too, up to the fight that is. Can't those two get their silly hormones back under control sometimes soon?
I'm astonished that Albus actually made sense... while McGonagall did not... treating them like school was on... okay maybe she's disappointed that Hermione won't be there to be headgirl, or it's the fear that the school might be attacked when those three aren't close enough to help out or whatever but the direction to go to the tower and nowhere else still didn't make sense.

All in all the story was nice. The only thing really taking away from the fun while reading were the constant squabbles and the growing feeling that you're running in circles just to get those two to explode about nothing at all. With a slightly streamlined plot and maybe a bit overworking of the fight scenes and explanations to make it slightly more mature this could become great stuff. As in lots more than nice :)

Uhhh! Do you REALLY want to cook up some little detail into a reason for Hermione or Harry to distance themselves from each other in each new chapter now? It is starting to get a bit old after the what? fifth time in five chapters... I can see what you try to achieve with having them troubles to go seamlessly from the hissy fit year six to their new relationship and it's a stressful time. But that's no reason to stress your readers out with so many pointless fights about the beard of the prophet...

And i barely dare to mention it but has your Harry been hit on the head or something? Has Hermione drunk something that blocked her brains? Why are they so awfully pathetic at fighting and defending themselves at planning and thinking of Death Eater proof places to go? Why don't they even think about going on the muggle side of things to hide and only come back when there's a Horcrux to destroy or some Death Eater to catch in an ambush?
It's almost more disturbing than the similar effect in JKRs own run with this year... ALMOST.

It was at least very weird, i almost started to suspect Ron of having carried something like love potion into the house as they started very soon after he returned to them... but shock about a near death experience/fight situation is a believable reason for strange behavior.

In the end the only thing i'm unhappy about is the uncertainty about the prisoners. Okay, the ministry was still useful, but they have no way of getting to know when the death eaters would make a try at taking over and Ron might have been caught when he is found there... the easiest way would have been to body bind them, forcefeed them alcohol, then stun them and dispose them in the muggle world without their wands and stinking of inebriation... when they are taken into custody and when waking up will get violent they are pretty sure going for muggle prison and will be out of the game for some time until somebody has a chance to find out on the wizarding side... or they might even wind up in a mental asylum when they go asking for owls to send their solicitor a letter ;) Else it could get interesting... no papers, no money, no files in the computer databases... this is still before the age of terror but still there are pretty good muggle systems around to keep track of who is who...

And just at the perfect moment :) I mean the peace and mood after the desctruction of the Horcrux almost asked for it. Even though it's sad that they can't have such a moment alone... well they're not that long an item and will have lots of time so ... why not? :D

Yeah, sadly that is the way Ron behaves throughout the books... "Look baby, i treat you worse than Malfoy would. Aren't you really aroused now" *wink wink nudge nudge*
And all the while he is as "subtle" as a neongreen subway train driving through your living room.

After all is said and done i'm happy with Harry and Hermione's reaction and can only smile with a melancholic feeling about how Ron has once again busted himself as a mindless and caringless jerk.

Hmmm the dialogue was a little awkward. But then Hermione's personality has been off and more or less all over the place for at least a year, so it does not come too surprising that she no wait, that THEY can't snap back to "old times" without trouble.
But it feels at least ways better than the book atmosphere and seems more consistent in the portrayal of Ron's behavior _ And for that i'm willing to forgive anything else, even if it's only a tad awkwardness ;)

So, so good! You managed to capture one of the best reasons I'm a H/Hr shipper that I hadn't realized. When Harry told Ginny he was breaking up with him to protect him, she *let* him. Hermione didn't let him leave her, Ginny did. Ginny never sacrificed for him, Hermione did (was tortured for him). I love your recognition of that!

I love how I will start a story that has not been updated in years and go thru the heartbreak of not being able to finish. :)

With that being said, I've enjoyed reading your first chapter so far but I do have one problem. I don't see how Ron could have been in love with Hermione in 3rd year since that was the year that he really really really despised her with the firebolt issue. Now him falling in love with her in 5th year (even though it makes me want to gag) I can see. Can't wait to see what the other chapters hold, not looking forward to reading the last chapter you have posted and knowing another one probably won't be in the future, ever. sigh...so sad.

So far your story is holding my attention! I love what you did with Ron...would be even better if he was to die along with Ginny and Molly. shudders I'm with you all the way about disliking Ron. YUCK! :)
