moeru himura chapter 1 . 9/2/2008 Analogies all over! That was nice! I was especially drawn to the summary. XD |
TrisakAminawn chapter 1 . 6/29/2007 That, gure, was really clever. Good ending. The time sense you got using little Kenshin with his forty-five minutes of attempts, whereupon Hiko contrived with 'one or two,' followed by old Kenshin with his own 'one or two' particularly pleased me. The whole concept of Kenshin's retension of the essentials even as he aged being encapsulated in matches vs. flint was excellent and - what is more rarely claimed - quite original. And at three-thirty AM, I have no more to say. I've always liked your name, by the way. Later! |
DesertRose3000 chapter 1 . 5/18/2007 That's the truth. You never know when a match will come in handy. Still, I'm glad we live in the modern world with lighters. |
Heather Logan chapter 1 . 2/24/2007 This was just perfect. I loved it! I especially liked the little pattern: "So easy, so convenient." "So convenient, so fragile." "So fragile, so ephemeral." I loved the sense of the passing on of the basic skill from one generation to the next, and the very light sense of an entire lifetime just hinted at in the last paragraph. The writing is lyrical and very tight (no wasted words), and for some reason it made me cry; I'm still not sure why. |
skenshingumi chapter 1 . 2/23/2007 So deceptively simple and yet I love the twist of that last paragraph as an aging Kenshin takes stock of himself. |
Ohagi-chan chapter 1 . 2/23/2007 Well written! Until next time! Sayonara! - Ohagi-chan |
Warg chapter 1 . 2/23/2007 Always there for just that :) Umm.. well as I said.. off to the favs with u :P .. |
