When I think how much *I* miss V, I always imagine that it must have been impossibly hard for Evey to live on. I would have remained on that train too.
In the movie, she is EV and has to live on to take care of V's legacy.
Here, you give her a different reason. What a surprise! O.o I can't say I am too thrilled because I really don't like babies (they just don't fit into the V universe, you know) but now I feel a little warmer inside because a couple of chapters back, it felt like V would have loved to have a child.
It's so... FINAL... that you ended this story with Dominic's promise to V. I have the wildest theories on what the sequel will be about O.o
Anyway, what a wonderful story. What a great emotional ride. Hot, insightful, in character, beautifully written... thank you for all those pleasant hours I've spent with this story! :)

So sad and beautiful. Just had to read the chapter again. I was not familiar with Greensleeves so I had to look up the text. I have no idea how the melody is supposed to sound but that doesn't diminish the beauty of this scene. I think I like your version even more than the movie. *crying for both V and Evey here*

Ah, the alley! What an interesting detail, I didn't see its significance in Nightmare.

I have to say that it was very hard to leave this story and go read Nightmare at this point, but it was so worth it!
Now I see that it was not just a beautifully written story but also a very informative and important part of Adagio.
