Very good even after reading it many times. Now to part 2, which is... a whole lot more angsty. Even knowing how it goes, it's still somewhat nerve wrecking to read, lol. I love it.

Riveting story. Absolutely riveting. I like how you showed how strength can show up in so many ways in all kinds of circumstances. Bravery and compassion are not mutually exclusive.

Even though Ian was always portrayed as an anti-hero, I always placed him on the good side. So, I must confess at the beginning, I had a little trouble with how you portrayed him here in this story. But, you did a wonderful job of delving into Ian's thoughts and explaining his motivations that I came on board with his actions in this story. I also loved how well you hit upon Charlie's memories and reasonings for his actions in this whole ordeal. And, Charlie standing strong and wise at the end was enough to make my heart flutter. Wonderful job, thanks for writing this.
