I was listening to Parting Song from Pandora Hearts while reading this. Made me cry a lot...

Really, though. So much meaning in so few lines. "the last bit of hope that Harry could give him."

"You should always dare to hope."

This was so very clever. Uplifting, but so much despair. "With a few words of despair, the man had stolen all triumph from Harry's victory." Bittersweet, but so much bitter. *sigh*

Well-written, and I do get a sense of desperation and so on from the fic, but it's a bit like letting a PMSing woman lick a chocolate bar, and then taking it away from her and locking it up in Gringott's.

First of all, this does NOT need to be rated M. Maybe T or even Kplus. Second of all, I loved the idea. It was really cute. However, I do think it needed more detail. Short fics are fine with me, especially with one shots, but short fics that seem to drabble on in short, choppy sentences with no real emotion described I have a problem with. However, I really did enjoy it overall.
