Khaylie chapter 17 . 6/9/2013 It's such a shame you didn't finish this story and I'm sad for not being able to continue reading. It truly is a great story. I wish you continue with it though, sometime. :) |
dhbPATHWAY1997 chapter 17 . 9/10/2011 It makes me cry that this story was never finished... This story was my LIFE for about two months about a year ago... Sigh. TTnTT |

Ned F chapter 17 . 10/10/2010 I hope you don't abandon this story. It's very exciting and in depth and there are lots of plot elements that have not been resolved. Please update soon. |
Ali chapter 17 . 4/28/2010 Argh! You can't stop right there. This is definitely one of the best fics I have ever read. The plot is so rich and intriguing that it's very hard to stop reading once you get into it and the character development is very involved and in depth. I don't know how else to describe how much I really enjoy this amazing story. I really hope you update soon. |
fornwalt chapter 17 . 4/22/2010 Wow. That was an epicly awesome story to read as my first Warcraft fanfiction. It had everything I was looking for-romance, action, drama, scheming plots, creative characters... And pirates. Don't forget the pirates. :D There were only a couple grammatical errors I noticed while reading, something a quick read-through or a beta could fix (my apologies if you have a beta-no offense meant!). I really liked how Alara's speech was accurately broken when she was speaking Common, and how they had to overcome the language barrier in almost every encounter in this story. So many authors skim over details like that (I dunno about this fandom, but it's common almost everywhere else). It was refreshing that you didn't. :) And I love the two main characters. And Diego. He's flipping awesome. I can just imagine him staring at her at the beginning of this fic, mentally prodding, "Give me your food, elf..." XD And the whole issues on racial tension, even within the same species... fantastic. I also love how we get to see what the rest of the family is doing during this time. It makes the plotting bit so much more intriguing-I'm amazed that every time I think the fic is coming to a close, you start up another, completely legit, plot point, and it goes on. :P Great job there. At some points, it gets a bit confusing because you're in third person limited, but you switch between characters without warning (if that makes sense). Like, one minute you'll be describing Alara's thoughts, and then you'll jump over to Jarreth, and the reader is left wondering how the narrator knows what Jarreth's thinking sometime, but not other times. But again, minor details. Overall, awesome story. :) Glad to see you're still updating even three years after you started this fic, and I'll definitely stay tuned. Too bad this is centered around the Warcraft world, because if it were original you could totally get this published as an actual book. It's really fantastic. :) (and the plot... magnificent!) Anyway, keep writing! I look forward to the next chapter! |
Ellemayne chapter 17 . 4/6/2010 199th review - congratulations on almost 200! :D this chapter really made clear that Jarreth's and Alara's relationship isn't as perfectly fluffy as some stories make their couples' out to be, but at the same time...I couldn't help but have a girly sigh on the inside when Jarreth did all of that stuff for her ) hmm...the one thing I agree with Belarethil - dwarves are nasty XD |
Escalus chapter 17 . 4/5/2010 Oh, it's beena while, but good update dear! |
Anonymous chapter 17 . 4/4/2010 As far as a lot of Warcraft fics that involve any type of elf, this is a great story. This has one of the biggest cast I've ever seen in multiple fandoms, and all of them are so interesting to read. Melanda and that plotting-against-Silvermoon guy are definitely on the two dimensional side, but everybody else is brilliant, with Fellias being a particular favorite to me. However, it would have been interesting to have Alara run into her brother. That would have made for a great scene, but hey, you can't always get what you want. I'm definitely questioning Ashanil's motives (It didn't seem like she cared much for either of her brothers), and I'm wondering just how long Dargatha's going to go along with her, as he's stupid, but not evil lackey stupid. I'm wondering what would happen if one set of kinda angry siblings met the other,Either a bloodbath or one of the weirdest alliances I've ever heard of. Anyways, I'm beginning to think Fellias may just head over to Peace, and that said peace in Peace won't last much longer. Also, I really want to see Alara return to Silvermoon, and have that little conspiracy and the motives behind it a little more fleshed out. But overall, this is the ruler of all Warcraft fics. |
Deathterx chapter 16 . 3/14/2010 For a a while ive been searching for a well written WOW fanfic (i dont care whether its a romance :P) and im actualy quite enjoying the relationships between them two. What i would like to see is a little more interaction with Dargatha and his brother (and maybe even a female?) and see a softer side to the thick warrior lol. Its just as there relationship is kinda cold cold and emotionless, while blizz have discribed night elves having deep emotions. Also id LOVE to see a confrontation between arelas oldest brother and him in Detail, both of them have struck me as powerfull guys and a good old slug out would be perfect (dont hurt Dargatha too badly, a warrior is my main and i kinda favour him hehe). As for your writing is great, prehaps you could put a lil more vivid discription, i dunno discribe the landscapes with ritch language, after all they are ment to be in love and the world should be as magical as it can be. Loving the storie so far, keep it up! |
commotion chapter 16 . 2/9/2010 Oh man! This story is just so superb. You really fleshed out the characters well and the plotline... it was a bit slow at the beginning but it was like an avalanche! I just couldn't stop reading and I read the entire thing in one sitting. I like that Jarreth and Alara don't have a lot of problems between themselves... it's as if they had transcended past the adversity that their cultures had given, and have found a place of nirvana with each other. The conflicts exist on the external factors, being with their families and other things that they cannot control... I'm glad that there isn't a lot of conflict between the two as issues with them on top of the others that are coming are more likely than not going to be overwhelming - considering how thick your plot is with intricate design linking one event to another. I truly do hope that you keep this way of writing - you have a knack of making things exciting and changing pace exceptionally well! I hope that you update this very soon for I am excited to read more. :] -Commotion |
