| Tig chapter 20 . 6/6/2011 Quite a good story, just one thing troubled me: Roxas's rape subplot, back in the first few chapters. Rape can't just be a plot device; anyone who's a victim of that kind of brutality, it's going to become part of them, their character. It's true that many victims freak out at being touched intimately, even years afterward, but I find it very unlikely that straight after that Roxas would be able to talk candidly about it with Axel, and then directly after THAT be absolutely fine with having sex. And then it's never mentioned again. That is not how PTSD works. It's a great story otherwise, but that really pushes belief. Please use judgment when dealing with stories of sexual abuse; it can be very damaging. |
