Reviews for Prophecy
infinitelystrangemachine chapter 13 . 7/6
Just wanted to say I'm back for another reread of this trilogy, and it's still my favorite LoZ fanfic of all time, and easily one of my favorite fanfics of all time, period. This story makes me FEEL THINGS, dangit.

I read your author's notes on this final chapter and though I know you probably don't visit your profile anymore, I was wondering whether you've written any original works and whether you've been published, traditionally or otherwise. Your writing style is one I'd absolutely love to read in a novel. If you happen to read this, and if you have published something, I'd love it if you replied to this review or otherwise left a message indicating where I could see or, ideally, purchase that published work. *sends prayer to the Internet gods for luck*

Thank you for writing.
VakaPyro chapter 13 . 10/24/2015
So... I'm unsure if you'll ever read this, or even care. Furthermore, I doubt it adds much more to the praise I believe we all have for you in envisioning this masterful trilogy. I've had this saga saved on my favourites for quite some time now, never bothering to even leave a 'thank-you' because I think/know you'll never see it. But I can't stay it any longer.

How can I say this? Your writing is absolutely impeccable; it's so easy to read. There is never any backtracking, I can absorb and enjoy it completely. The only errors are in your author's notes!
Your characterisation of Link and Midna, it's perfect. They are multi-faceted, and interact with each other and the almost-dystopic world around them in a way I see nowhere else- it's so real and fantastic. Furthermore the love they have for one another- you do not get 'wishy-washy' about it, the only time it becomes pure, unadulterated focus is at the very end, where they become the King and Queen of their lovely lives together. The epilogue, with the vision of what is to come, and the redemption of the Mad-Man, it sends shivers down my spine when I read it. I love it, it brings tears at how evocative and emotional it is, as they go into the good-night awaiting the next adventure.
The battles, which you state are not your strong point, are executed well, as are the many faces of Link, the Hero, the Wolf, the Mad-man. Again, I can't say I've seen any idea like this in any medium I have read or watched that weaves the narrative about it this flawlessly.
Three lovely adventures, on varying levels, interlaced with a grit and humanity that I adore about these stories.

I can't thank you enough for envisioning and allowing us to read this 'version of events'. It's so complete by the end, I almost don't want to read anything else. As aforementioned, I doubt you'll ever happen upon this message now, but I wanted to leave it out there that I loved this story, and thank-you.
AllAroundWinner chapter 13 . 3/31/2015
Incredible-great, great job on this trilogy. Very you have a very Pratchett-esque way of writing. Your vocabulary is stunning. Like if language were food your writing would be a rich stew: flavorful, subtle, easy to savor. What great characterization! Link's gradual breakdown was tense and uncomfortable and confusing for me as a reader in all the right ways. Reviews and critiques aren't my strongest suit but I thoroughly enjoyed what I read. Thanks for putting those three pieces online!
Batard Anonyme chapter 13 . 11/26/2009
There's a lot I could say but I don't know how to word it. I've read your trilogy twice before and may or may not have reviewed. If I have already I don't care, I will again. You have a talent that some published award winning authors lack. You have not only a great intellect but a creative mind. Its one thing to have a good vocabulary and know story strucure, that's important but not everything.

What really makes the story is the tale, the emotions conveyed. Your work is epic in its ability to reach out and touch the soul. There's little I can put into words. Your story made me feel pain, anger, sadness and passion as if it was me experiencing the events.

Thank you very much for writing.
Bashie chapter 5 . 7/15/2009
ALL DAMN DAY.

Never before have I ever EVER, read any trilogy,non-stop exept ELOZE-look it up on google great fic- all the way through, nor have been tempted to,sence eloze.

At first I didn't like the way you portraied link,as sarcastic, and reclusive,(kinda like after I saw daniel craig as James Bond)but, I have to say,not only was it different, but it really grew on me. And forever will I miss link always burning the toast.
Nereas chapter 13 . 11/5/2008
Excellent story.

I was somewhat reticent to put you on my favorites list however - I am too lazy to clear out the dross of my old tastes and this threw that into sharp relief. Hah.

Happy endings... are better when they do not feel inevitable, not guaranteed but earned. Perhaps that is the difference between most fanfiction and it's exemplars.
Fenrir666 chapter 13 . 8/12/2008
You are an amazing writer. Your way with words astounds me. You get everyone perfectly characterized, and your plot lines are great. I love this story arch, and I look forward to your next Zelda story. Very good!

Fenrir6
Kazuki-kun is an A and an A chapter 5 . 7/23/2008
great chapter. i think you might have crammed too much in one chapter though.
Kazuki-kun is an A and an A chapter 1 . 7/23/2008
very well written. i didn't quite understand but i think i will soon
Wolfen Dreams chapter 13 . 6/20/2008
Umm... Wow?

Really. This is really good. Confusing, but I like confusing things. They give you more to think on and more time with it and more to remember. This really is great. I find your Zelda really interesting, and the modernization of Hyrule fascinating and I think I'm going to have to reread this because I feel like I missed about thirty percent of it and I really want to understand it all.

It's impressive, and that's really all I can say.
Omote chapter 13 . 3/31/2008
So few stories leave me smileing when I finish reading them; yours will forever be one of those few that can bring out the emotions I keep locked inside. The story was amazing, lil sad it didnt show anything about kids though, god knows link deserves it. :)
Talon88.1 chapter 13 . 3/24/2008
I have to say, I was initally put off by how you portrayed Zelda. Links actions were a bit harsh to me at the start, but then you began to show reasons why he acted the way he did. Many others would have simply left it at something like 'He was in a war.' and moved on. You gave vaild, solid reasons as to his actions, and i must say, the sarcastic comments in both the dialoge and the narrators POV really added flavor to the story, a very dry wit that i usually see in novels by men such as Douglas Adams, Terry Platchet, and a few others. All in all, a great read, and i hope you continue to write in the future. Roll On.
Chance O'Neal chapter 13 . 2/16/2008
I can only say this, to this happy ending. I can only say this, to your emotional story. I can only say this, to your fantastic romance. So let me say it:

Magnificient.
Defade chapter 13 . 9/10/2007
I've read this trilogy over the course of the past three days and this is what I've to say:

I'm speechless. Just. Downright. Speechless.

It has been one of theh most epic stories I've ever read in my whole life - nothing has ever come close to capturing me like this. Everything was just brilliant. And as close to perfection as it can get. But we don't want boring old perfection, do we? Hehe.

As some others have mentioned, you really have a talent there with words. Every single sentence in this story is deeply engaging, and really, it feels like I'm in a trance all the way through the story. It was simply amazing.

And what else have I got to say? To hell with 'I love the way you blah blah blah'd and that was really yada yada'. Your work has surprassed all that.
Aldea Donder chapter 13 . 8/23/2007
One of the most laudable stories I've ever read - not just in the Zelda category and not only on this website, but in my entire life. You have a talent that runs deep, friend. And while I don't anticipate another sequel (because this one's been so exquisitely put to rest), know that if you *ever again* decide to set a pen to paper, or fingertips to a keyboard, *you will have an audience.* You've earned my respect tenfold.
