You need to be careful with the australian slang that you use. You've understood that most of the time we do speak 'normal(ish)' english and do not yabber on and on using terminology that even most australians wouldn't understand (or cringe at the sound of, I mean really, Crikey? *shudders). I you have the time (or the inclination) there are some brilliant aussie tv series (not just neighbours or home and away) which may give you a better insight into the culture.

I quite like Kaih, as a character. Be careful not to turn her into a Mary-Sue, but so far you’re doing a pretty good job. She’s not *overly* likeable, you know? But she’s nice.
