ROFLing at the lich that can only see "his half of the screen". Seems like Khan is aware of being in a videogame and of its mechanics, kinda like Deadpool. I wish I could have seen the look on the Lich's face when he realized he had wasted nearly everything he had on the Ghast...That must have been the greatest "oh crap" face of the century! xD
Oooh, nice twist with the quest-givers getting at the party all at once! At first, I thought Khan was thinking of the Cowlies that spawn every time you use magic without having a licence, seeing how scared he was of "them". I see he has both the Five Flagons (bard) and the De' Arnise keep (fighter) as strongholds, which class is he then? Or is it the effect of the multi-stronghold mod?
His line "it's not a game!" was quite ironic, considering that it IS actually a videogame
I wonder if he knows also of Yoshimo being under a Geas and if he'll try to save his friend...

I just wanted to say I really like these short stories. The first time I read them was laughing uncontrollably, they are exactly my style of humor (sarcastic/witty/ironic).

I was thinking of doing my own screen breaches, but it's harder than it sounds. Things like weapon restrictions for example - they aren't really logical (provided mage is strong enough, no reason he shouldn't be able to pick up a long sword and swing it), but it's hard to make a short story out of it.

I think using the same character (Khan) and mostly the same group of NPCs as your story allowed was brilliant. Allowed readers to become invested in what happens to Khan and friends.

Ahh the crazies of BG2. I remember all the stupid crap like that. everything was such magic! Seemed so cool and realistic until it wasn't at all. Great stuff.

Considering the point of these stories, I think it was a little strange how in chapter 3 the party has one more character than the game allows, though. Just nitpicking.

Reminds me of the time I was fighting against Firkrag and had to retreat with only two party members left. Once I was upstairs Firkrag was somehow in the prison room so I retreated downstairs again and was sandwiched between two Firkrags who each had full health.

I just read the entire 12 chapters in about twenty minutes...because it was awesome! Being a Baldur's Gate fan, I laughed out loud at the way you've twisted the game's rules and logic. This was a really great piece of work and I'm quite sad to finish it, but that's the way it is, eh. My favourite chapters would have to have been the first three. It was just Wow I totally know what you mean! On another note, I have done quite a few of the things you mentioned (like resting when I didn't want to use my potions and setting up an attack on a still neutral NPC ) but I was wondering if you actually fought the lich in chapter one that way...hehehe. I could point out every part of your fic that I loved, but that would be very tedious for both myself and you, but I really enjoyed this...just wanted to let you know ,

Oh, this has been a blast! And damn you, now you've got ME noticing moments like that...such as when I resurrected Anomen in the Underdark and spent 15 minutes looking for his gear...

Or when we're fleeing the Underdark and my romantic interest picks THAT moment to open an extended dialogue... (Why, of course, dear...I'd love to have a drink of wine while we're running for our lives).
