Beautiful. I think you caught the slow boil of emotions kept long under control-very well. Definite missing scene in ch4 - a confrontation that a lady like KJ would need!

I can't believe it! You updated this story. I love the new chapter. I think you are right when you say Captain Janeway is o.k. with Chakotay/Seven, but Kathryn isn't. Even if I do not really like that everybody is splitting Kathryn Janeway in half.

I am looking forward to the next chapter and hope that Janeway will listen and open up to her First Officer.

I hope there is a fourth chapter in the wings because I'm enjoying this story. I think you have captured them correctly.

What I don't get is why everyone acts like Chakotay waited for Kathryn Janeway until the 7th Season, when he started dating Seven. Chakotay did not wait for Kathryn. He had at least a couple of alien females that he chased every season. For a guy madly in love with Kathryn and having promised to wait, Chakotay apparently is easily distracted from his love and devotion by the passing alien babe. Kathryn actually waited and didn't date anyone until Michael Sullivan from Fair Haven and that was her ONLY relationship during the entire series, which can NOT be said for Chakotay. (Kathryn's relationship with Kashysk was somewhat of a ploy and her realtionship with Jaffen was due to amnesia and brainwashing.)

That is a definite distinction - Kathryn vs Captain
