never seen it before... I LOVE IT!

Right, this is my second attempt at writing this review. I am new to , so I am sorry to say that I don't yet know the correct protocols when writing messages or giving feedback. Sufficed to say, I hope you accept this as a great compliment.

In the last few weeks of reading stories here, particularly of the 24/Jack Bauer variety, you have quickly become probably my favorite author thus far. And, this is probably one of my favorite stories. Mostly because you've capture the characters as I see them on screen. It's like getting a glimpse of what happened between seasons/episodes, that they had to cut. (I hope you understand what I am trying to convey. Anyway, please keeping on writing Jack/Audrey. I wasn't a fan of her, to be honest, until I started reading your fics.

This was a lovely story! You put a much different spin on the beginnings of the J/A relationship than most authors that I've read. Most of them (including me) have started the relationship much faster and made it very sexual rather than having a slow, tense, drawn out beginning. I found that tension very exciting and it made me want to read more and find out what happened and how they finally got together.

You kept Jack and Audrey in character throughout the story. The dialogue was crisp and believable as was the plotline. I can imagine Jack not wanting to put Audrey at risk and trying to protect her physically and himself emotionally.

If I could offer just a little bit of advice. There is no reason to rate this story "M". It is a "T" at very worst and could probably be rated lower. There is lots of suggestion but no descriptive sex at all. I've both written and read more explicit love scenes that were "T" rated. Rating it "M" would allow it to be posted in the regular line up and would bring this beautiful story to many more J/A fans. Personally, I would repost it with a lower rating. Hope you'll consider it.

Brilliant fic! I love it! I like the way you start with 'now' then go back to when they first met, then back to 'now' again.

"The thumb of his right hand was rubbing against the tips of his other four fingers" - have you noticed Kiefer doing this throughout the past 5 seasons of 24? I noticed esp in Season 4 when Audrey tells Paul she loves someone else, and Jack walks in. After Paul walks out, there is just Jack standing there doing that thing with his fingers!

Yay! I love this story...very glad you decided to post it here. And I don't think you need to water down the fourth chapter at all...it's descriptive but very tasteful and well done and not at all kinky or trashy or gratuitous. This is one of my three favorite 24 fanfics ever, and I am really glad you decided to post it here.
