I like this but there's a few things I'm not completely clear on. First, Sano thinking Kaoru had used up all her magic fighting was a misunderstanding on his part, correct? Second, did Kenshin think that Kaoru was like the other succubi he and Sano have encountered that like to control those around them and that the reason she hasn't done so with them is just because she doesn't have the strength, having mistaken her previous curious probing of his emotions as her trying to force her way through his shields to control him and failing?

This is the coolest story. I read it again every now and then, and I enjoy the heck out of it each time. Fantastic writing, and fantastic story telling!

Or some other plotline in this universe. It's an amazing sandbox, and I want to see more of it! Kaoru as a succubus is such a novel concept, and I love how you keep to her compassionate and understanding nature. Please please don't let this idea be over!

That's not what a succubus is.

Very, very nice setting shift. I actually enjoyed seeing what sort of creatures each of the characters would be, and devil (in the terms of 'fallen angel') does actually fit Kenshin pretty well. Hoping for a sequel!

I would have enjoyed Kaoru kicking Hannya's ass.. Too bad. XD

At least Kenshin went as knight in shining armor.. XD

I find it strange that Kenshin, no actually it was Sano, to be very modest. Usually they just jump head on to battle, clothed or otherwise at any sign of danger.. XD

Who came to their rooms anyway? Yahiko?
