Chuck never struck me as intelligent enough to be a missionary. I think a better story was he got cheerleader pregnant out of wedlock(possibly jenny piccolo's sister) and he and the girl left town to save the family from being disgraced, and his parents disowned him

THERE WERE LOTS OF GOOD GUESSES OF WHAT MAY'VE HAPPENED TO THE MYSTERIOUS CHUCK, SOME SAY HE WENT TO WAR, SOME SAY HE WENT TO COLLEGE, OTHERS SAY THE FAMILY DECIDED THEY DISOWNED HIM BECAUSE HE MARRIED A BLACK GIRL. I'M GLAD THE PARRENTS HANDELED THEIR DAUGHTER GOING TO BE A MISSIONARY LIKE CHUCK VERY WELL.

Well. That was an interesting take. Considering it was the 50's, it's not so far fetched to see someone go off to do something noble. Times and attitudes were different. It's a better way to explain Chuck's absence because they simply left him out of the show.

I liked this story. Happy Days has always been my favorite show. I did catch a few spelling mistakes but this was a long story. Feel free to check out some of my Happy Days stories whenever you come online. They are all in the 2000's instead of the 50's.

Wow. That was the longest oneshot ever. And I loved it. Nice idea, I always wondered what happened to poor Chuck. Besides some minor spelling mistakes, it was basically perfect.

Actually, the writers of the show just decided that since the action revolved around Ritchie, Joanie, and their friends, it was just easier to ignore Chuck, then do away with him.

I like it! Nice twist!
