I LOVED this!

I really thought this was great. It's a perfect Lucius moment. #1: I see him being just that introspective about his choices once he's had all of the years of distance to think about them, and the aching from standing in the cold in his fortysomething body as opposed to his twentysomething body is exactly right. #2: I see him as being less extreme, but still content enough with the Dark Lord's agenda here and I think of that as a natural extension to the person he's become in the years when Voldemort was missing. And #3: the fact that he was trying to let his family sleep while he dealt with this mini crisis himself reiterates very well the whole idea of why he still believes. Great work.
