It thrilled me a lot the helpless situation of Lily and the kindness of James to took her into his flat. I'm kind of obsessed with Jily and I liked a lot the AU context of this history.

Reading this fic has been one hell of an entertaining journey, not only because of the story content but also in a sense of seeing the writing improve so drastically! The start was quite rocky ngl, I almost stopped a couple of times - not because of bad writing but because parts of it were a bit on the offensive side considering what the characters were like. But seeing how popular the story was I thought it had to be for a reason and BOY WAS IT WORTH IT!

In just a handful of chapters the story had a MASSIVE makeover and turned into one of the best Jily fics I've read! Your writing style, the relationship dynamic, the problems that James and Lily faced and how they faced them, their on-point dialogue, struggles, angst, fluff, holy sizzling smut!, even OCs - everything was suddenly beyond perfect and I was so pleasantly surprised! And it's even complete, thank you god! (and writer ofc haha)

One more thing I want to say is: I know sometimes people check reviews before reading to get a feel of the fic and I want to tell them that even if the first few chapters put you off for you know what reasons - don't drop it! Cause what follows is one of the best written relationships!

I was pretty surprised that you revealed Dumbledore's identity at a reasonably late point in the story. Anyhow, thanks for including Moody, he's one hell of a character.

Great start! Excited to see what you will do with this. 2 chapters and I am hooked! My only concern is the lack of Peter. I am unsure what the reasoning for this is. I am hoping it might be intentional and that you have plans for him and will eventually introduce his as the 4th Marauder. I would hate to think he is excluded completely.

What Damek did to Bella IS rape. Having sex with someone who is drunk is legally considered rape, because they are not in a state of mind where they are able to consent.

This story has an interesting premise, but I can't believe how indelicately you handled rape in this chapter. For example, the completely calm way Lily handled being raped and the possibility of it having happened multiple times; also, the way James said her clothes screamed "I want to be raped." Um, no. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to add you to the list of people who say shitty things about how a woman's clothing excuse rape, abuse, or harrassment in ANY way. What a woman is wearing has nothing to do with rape - not her "responsibility" in the matter, nor the risk of it happening. Even the most conservatively dressed women are at risk, and often times, rapists actually prefer them because they sadistically enjoy the idea of stealing someone's innocence.

Wow this story is amazing! I usually don't read AU's because they're so far off base but yours got me hooked and I read it in two days. Would recommend it to anyone.
