I read your bio and was sad to see that you've since retired from writing Nejiten:( How's your book going?
Intriguing how Tenten would find such a gory landscape "sinfully beautiful." Of course, the shinobi mindset would be elusive to me, as I'm obviously not one myself.
I was a bit confused by how Neji seemed to die after taking a kunai to the chest only to still be alive three months later. Tenten's decision to break the news to Neji was touching, though! Having her tilt her head higher to keep the tears from falling was a very nice touch, too-descriptive and easily pictured.

the plot twist! I was hoping that they would end up together forever, but her death was symbolic, if not sad and incredibly depressing, of their friendship and the lengths people would go to to save others. I think this story was incredibly poetic and lyrical, so great job!

This story reminded me of the Matchbox girl and you gave it all the makings of a Neji/Ten love/friendship story which made it very memorable.

I like how you had Tenten literally give him a breath of fresh air/life. Together as one in a way. It's just too bad they weren't together as a couple in the end...but hey, that's what made the sacrifice all the more poignant.

Glad to know many ideas came out of this fic. It's wonderful to hear about writing inspiration. Thanks for sharing!

Not...angsty...enough...? What are you talking about? This was pretty dang angsty, I think, and it was awesome. The line "My chest...It hurts.." was great. It kind of reminded me of Gaara-sama when he was a kid, y'know? Great fic.

As usual Naash, you have out-done yourself! Love the story, and hopefully you'll countinue your other beautifully writen stories as well.
