The prologue has a great cliffhanger about the jokers, but they don't ever appear or get mentioned again! What gives?

It's interesting how depending on the game the ace cards are either above the Kings or below the 2s. Not that there's anything wrong with where you put them. Still, in no normal game I know of are the other number card's values reversed like that...well, do what you want. It's for the plot after all.
