I don't even know if you are still reading these, but I wanted to thank you for writing this. I never was a big fan of James/Lily centric fanfiction because I couldn't stand the thought of their tragic end. But the way you portrayed Lily and her relationship with James in this story is just so realistic. For me you were really able to give these characters some humanity, I don't even know how to describe this.
I really liked your Lily with all her flaws and problems, her try at writing and the flashbacks to her childhood. I quite enjoyed reading all of this. Even if you never finish this, it was really great. So thank you again!

I have never in my life commented on a fanfic, but I just had to for this one. Wow. Thank you thank you for making a fic where the characters are real and flawed but still so lovable and relatable. You write so all of the characters grapple with life's uncertainties and their own inner demons and you do so in a raw, beautiful way.

I love the Sirius/Lily relationship, especially since I truly believe that relationship was probably less that perfect. They love each other but what really brought them together is their mutual love for James. Each know James differently and the conflict that arises from that is written so well in this fic.

James is amazing. Flawed and a bit of an arse but also passionate and loving. THANK YOU for not making Lily to be some prim, perfect, innocent girl. I love how BOTH James and Lily end up breaking down instead of just one or the other so that one of them is the "strong" one and the other is a emotional wreck the whole time. I think both of them were probably super messed up in their own way and also on the verge of an emotional wreck since they are fighting a war and dealing with so much death and hatred. But you also write so that there is light and friendship that gets them through the wreckage.

I am SO SAD that you didn't get to write about Lily getting pregnant and how they handled that. Or just more in general. I know you will probably never go back to this fic...but bravo. Favorite one I've ever read.

This book was absolutely fantastic. I adored it. I don't know if you still have this account but I'm leaving the reviews anyway in the hope that you see it and pick it up again. I love it

I don't think there is a thing about this fic that I wouldn't love. Order of the phoenix is my favourite phase of their relationship and you really explored a lot of it in here. Dark themes of war than are more than just waving your wand around, members of Order that are friends, but are also there to do a job , not on a social call. I absolutely adore your Lily who isn't a master duelist, but wants to fight the best she can, Lily that is scared, James that makes mistakes. How they face problems in their relationship, what is something that ALL the couples do, but you can still feel that they love each other very very much.

Let me say that this prologue was absolutely fantastic. One of the best I ever read. The way you introduced us to Lily as a character, showing her relationships with her family which is often overlooked in fics and also slowly let us have a glimpse into the plot and what world she lives in, got me completely hooked. I love it!

Really good story ! I don't know if it's hopeless to even review it, but I really enjoyed it and maybe you'll pick it up someday ;)

Oh my god this story! I absolutely love it. And I am so extremely sad it isn't finished. I absolutely love your characterization of Lily and the boys. It is perfection!

The irony here is Lily's not killing Snape is one of the things that leads to James, and her, being killed.

I just finished this and I honestly have no words to express how much I like this story. Your writing style flows like silk and your careful efforts with characterization are clear - to the point where it's literally inspiring to me as a fellow writer. I confess I was looking for fluff when I went after Jily fic recs but I'm so glad I picked this one up - even though it seems like it's been a while since your last update. Even unfinished, this was very much worth reading and I'm sure eventually rereading. Thanks for it, and again, great job.

This is one of the best Jily fics i've read. You probably won't read this, but i can't just not review.
I love Lily's portrayal. It's unique in how it's morose and somber and just a little bit cynical, which is fitting for a girl like Lily living in an age where people like her are being persecuted.
The frustration with how they're not doing that much and they just feel stuck is really, really well written.

The interactions between the Marauders is just *makes wild hand gestures*.

Oh, and thank you for putting trigger warnings. A lot of people don't put TWs on their work.

Basically this story is a stand-out among a lot of Jily fics and I was left impressed with how you write, and more than a little sad that i won't get to see more of this.

But, cheers to you.

The smallest things add so much. It makes it so real. It feels as if I could touch the characters, hug them, see them walking past me in a light fog. You have painted a beautiful picture, and I would definitely say more if I wasn't so desperate to continue reading your brilliant words :)
