I'm enjoying the story, but would like to point out one minor flaw. The phrase "Chan y Bagledig Lew Esgor Ddraig" is actually Welsh, not Gaelic (either Scots or Irish). Gaelic, while it has some unusual sound forms, generally doesn't feature the 'dd' sound, nor the word 'y'. While I cannot speak Welsh at all, I have seen enough written Welsh to be able to at least recognise some of the more obvious indicators.

If you actually planned to use Gaelic, the Scots version of the same/similar phrase would be "Bhon leòmhann glaiste a thug a-mach dràgon", while the Irish version would be "As an leon gafa a thug dragan amach". At least, according to Google translate, which is obviously not going to do a perfect job of translating things.

While I can speak a touch of Scots Gaelic (I am Scottish, and learned some of what I know as a child from my Grandmother, for whom Gaelic was her first language, with the rest being picked up here and there over the years. Also, I have seen far more written Gaelic than Welsh, due to a number of historical sites in the Highlands and Islands having dual Gaelic and English signs, not to mention road, town and street signs being mostly Gaelic in the Isles), I am by no means fluent. It is likely not quite correct in terms of Grammar (as is common for most translators, regardless of starting and ending translations), it should otherwise be as good a translation as possible without getting a native/fluent Scots/Irish Gaelic speaker to translate it into the preferred language however.

Apologies for the rather long winded diatribe, but I do find that sometimes inconsistencies (especially for someone who has an uncanny ability to spot mistakes (I do this, both my own and others. Appreciated at work, but even there it drives people nuts)) can spoil the flow of an otherwise brilliant read. Apologies again if I've offended you with this. Mar sin leat!
