This story is so brilliant that I had wanted to review every chapter, but my desperate need to get through all of it prevented that from happening. Your writing is amazing, a great balance of description and dialogue, and the plot - I feel like I don't have proper words to describe how much I loved it. You intertwined your own story with the series perfectly and I loved every bit of it. This story deserves so much more feedback because it is so great. The way you described Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship is so sweet and heartbreaking. Often times in stories I don't see their true father/son, friend, brotherly connection that they share, it's not fully developed, but the way you wrote it, their banter and their protectiveness and caring for each other was perfect, and you even dropped hints at what might have been, which made this story even more tragic and yet accurate. Basically, I could praise this story left and right all day let's be honest. Anyways, amazing work, I adored this story so much, thank you for writing it!

Great scene from Sidious's perspective!

Liked the anecdote about Anakin and Obi-Wan and the fair. Obi-Wan's reflections on his attachments and his love were very well done.

It seems like everyone from Ventress to Sidious to Anakin and Obi-Wan has their own plan...interested to see what happens when all those plans collide.

I can see the conflict rising between Anakin's loyalty to Obi-Wan and his loyalty to Palpatine. Great work!

Love the introduction of Padme, and the way you write her and Anakin's relationship.

You convey Anakin's love and desperation (and the darkness they're leading him into) very well. The Jabiim arc is heartbreaking.

Interesting conversation between Tyranus and Sidious...I like how you show the cunning of their plans.

What a wonderful story you have cooked up here, but I'm sorry to say I'd rather not go any further for the thought of Anakin turning to the darkside is much too painful after the wondrous story.

This story deserves much more acclaim than it has gotten.

I add this review so hopefully more people can discover this magnificant story as I have, because for better or worse people, including me, judge initially by title, summary and reviews.

I never really counted myself as a Star Wars fan, until Episodes II and I came out, and only then because of Obi-Wan Kenobi, with his dry wit and his fighting skills and his hot-ness. :)

I was always moved by the ending of the story, and that Luke and Leia would never know their father or the Jedi Order or Obi-Wan as he was. Sigh.

Anyway, I found this story while searching for a story that tackled the gundark issue from Episode II, and my God, you delivered so much more than that.

The language, the situations, how it fit into the gaps of the canon, (canon being for me the movies, because I have only ever read the first two books of the Jedi Apprentice series, and my only other knowledge coming from Wookiepedia) were all amazing.

This is what I was hoping for in a story, but which you so rarely find. Thanks for making me a fan again, and restoring my faith in the existance of people who care about characterisation, syntax, and preserving the life and vitality of the films.

Thanks very much. I will only be reading you and one other author from now on, when I need an Obi-Wan and Anakin fix, unless there are more good stories around I haven't discovered yet.
