Reading this makes my brain hurt.

For one, I hate the implication that a Dratini is a hard pokemon to tame. It takes a long time to train, but any pokemon, if you raise it from an egg, or catch it at level five or less, is easy to befriend. Hell, it doesn't even count as taming, since the pokemon is literally raised to like you. A full grown wild Dragonite, however, is nearly impossible to tame. Even a wild Dragonair would take some work. I guarantee you that if the game gave me a level five Dratini at the beginning (which it does in the Pokemon A Dark Rising rom hack), I could raise it just as well as I do any of the typical starters.
Where the hell do these cliches come from, I've never seen them in my life.

*slow, awestruck clapping*. Seriously... this is just so much win. I've seen far, FAR too many fictions where such-and-such gets a dragon, or an eevee, or an absol or whatever. It's nearly impossible to write a serious story with anything like that in it, and a parody is well story itself is so well-written, too - I've seen many a parody that is poorly written, that resorts to characters talking 1N L33T SP34K. You've managed to make an excellent parody without resorting to that.

Again, this story is just SO. MUCH. WIN.

I know this is a parody, but every time I randomly stumble across it, I have to try to read past the first chapter. It just hurts so much!
