Oh, I'm so glad I found this! It's been the calming draught on a disasterous day. I love Max, the first portrayal, and I loved the references to Michelle. All in all, it was a great read. I'd love to read more Payne fics from you!

Great job! Had fun reading another of your Payne fanfics...he's a hell of a character, my favorite bar none.

And I sorta picked up that the Man in White might of been Vlad mid way through, eliminating most of his competition in his march to the top of the Russian Mafia and underworld of crime no doubt. Plus Vlads suit from the second game was a bit of a giveaway...

And Jezney getting killed reminded me of Max's terrible luck we all know of...the death of all the women around him.

Great story, great job, and good luck in future installments of Max Payne...I'll as always be looking out for your work... ;)

p.s. a few tidbits of info you might wanna know...James McCaffrey (the voice of Max Payne) is in the cable show Rescue Me. He's Tommy's (Denis Leary's) cousin...great show you might wanna check out. Plus a third installment of Max Payne is possible within a few years as Sam Lake (writer and creator of Max Payne) is wrapping up his work on the 'Alan Wake' gaming project. A third game is certainly still 'up in the air' but we could possibly see it sooner than later... ;)

Short but sweet I guess...the story looks like it's coming to a head (with Max right in the middle of things as usual). I'm sensing one bloody shootout about to go down...we'll see I guess, be looking forward to Chapter 7.

Not much going on in this one but I understand, you're building up the story...interesting take on the 'Black and White' prefixes of your title, I think we all can relate...nothing is ever that simple. Anyways still good going, be waiting for your update...good stuff, Darth Red.

Still as good as ever...although Chapter 4 was a tad bit weird (with Lady Liberty and all)...I'm interested to see how Max can solve all this, I'll be waiting for your next update, Darth Red...

Wow. Damn, that was some really good stuff. Generally I can't stomach a lot of these independent little story lines that people make up, but this was great. I never felt my interest flagging at all, and you had a lot of really awesome insight into the nature of the game and the character itself.

In short, awesome work. I really hope that you'll get this updated, because I'm loving your fic. Great job!

No problem...hopefully the updates will be more frequent now, you tend to pull people out of what's going on in the story when you wait that long...but no worries, stories as good as ever...I'm glad your still writing Payne, your excellent at it...I'm actually thinking of writing a Payne fanfic myself, I'm not too sure about it though...I'm afraid I'll screw up the unbelievable story and charactwer that Sam Lake created, we'll see I guess...

Hey, glad to see you picking up and writing more Payne...he's a hell of a character. I'm just happy there planning on making a third installment, should be out in a few years...anyways the story is quite good, going back into Payne's past before all the horrible shit of Valkyr and it's aftermath Vlademir Lem is a nice change of pase. This one seems like it may be even better then the short one you wrote this past summer, so keep it up and I'll as always be reading...Darth Red.

p.s. a little overkill on the narrative dialogue though but if it helps you write then keep it up...and unfortunetly I won't be able to read the story for long as I'll be leaving in two weeks for basic traing for the Armed Forces here in Canada, but despite my absence keep writing Payne...I don't know how or when but I'll find a way to get back to you on the story...take it easy.

I hope the story continues, I'm enjoying it thus far.
