This is THE best x/ J.D story I have ever read. Period. No slash, no un characteristic fluffyness. Nothing but reality and a FANTASTIC plot line. I don't know how on earth you came up with that but wow. I think this is the..third? time I've read this and I am in love. I want another story, a friendship fic, that realistic...that fantastic between JD and Cox. OMG, wow. Great job. ~Nayah

I've recently become a major fan of Scrubs. And from reading your equally-brilliant RENT fics, I remembered seeing that you wrote a little something for the Scrubs fandom.

And sweet Jesus, this was the first fic I read in the entire fandom. Amazing to say the least.

There is literally no other Scrubs fic that can compare to this. It's honestly the only piece worth reading over and over and over.

I'm hoping you'll do something else soon :D

Wow! This is a really, really good story. I was sort of half expecting a bunch of JDA, but it really wasn't that bad. It was well written, kept me interested, and suspenseful. And most importantly, everyone was in character, even Dan and Dr. Cox (and the Janitor, even when he was actually being nice to JD). And I just LOVED the mentor/protege relationship between JD and Dr. Cox.

This story is also original. I've seen so many JDA stories where it's all, "Oh, I tried to kill myself, I'm emo, blah blah blah," but yours was very unique. I don't think I've ever read anything where a crazy patient hurts JD with everyone watching but unable to help.

This whole story was amazing, but you had some really good moments. I loved when JD was trying to remember to breathe and there was that whole "In. Out." paragraph. The flashbacks where beautifully written and integrated, especially the "scream of doom". The ending was spetacular.

And I was so, so relieved and happy when JD had a real "JD daydream"!

I found this a little while ago and read it all at once. I read it again a couple days after, and I keep going back to my favorite parts :D

It's so good! It's really, really, really well-written, the characters and how they react are all perfect, and it's not over-dramatic.

The plot was great and very original, not one that I've seen done before. The suspense and mystery of it kept me reading and you handled it really well. This is one of the best fics I've ever read!

You really need to write more stories! ;)

Just came across this fic today; ended up getting totally sucked in and reading the whole thing in one shot. Woo. Absolutely fantastic fic. I totally understand your decision not to do a prequel, but dang I'd have loved to read it! You've got a great knack for suspence, and I love seeing characters taken completely out of their elements like you've done with JD. Great interactions with Cox and Dan, too. Anyhoo, love your fic!
