The first time I read this was years ago, and I enjoyed it then- but I think I enjoyed it more now, that I have a better understanding of what a romantic relationship is like. For example, Kaoru's statement about it being Kenshin's job to generate heat in the relationship, which had me laughing out loud (it's so true, I swear!). I also adored the byplay between Sano, Katsu, and Kaoru after her insistent new "friend" was addressed-I respect Kaoru's independence and insistence that she could take care of things herself, and both Sano's and Katsu's protective streak (not to mention practical choice, on Katsu's part, haha).
The point is, I laughed multiple times, and I very much enjoyed reading this, so thank you for sharing.

This is one of my favourites.

I love your portrayal of the characters, the dynamics between Kaoru and Kenshin, and then with Sano thrown in adds more depth. And I love the plot line, the story itself is funny but wonderful with their relationship being the central theme.

It all just works together really nicely.
