The way Piccolo and Cymbal always end up punching each other is starting to become endearing. Oh dear.
I just love the intersection of arcs here. The Saiyans are showing up, but Daimou's brood are still around (well. Some of them), and there's also potential for androids.
Sure would be bad if Cell woke up early P:

I've always appreciated how real this fic feels. There's a lot of weight and emotion behind all the characters. It's nice. There's a lightheartedness about in the show and the manga that gives it all a very fun, 'Everything will be okay!' vibe.
There's a very good sense of stakes in your fic. Sure some folks are probably gonna die by Vegeta and Nappa when they get here. Still curious to see how you write it though.

Yay, you updated! And Cymbal is alive (again)! I do hope he and Bulma against all odds become some kind of friends, because their interactions are gold. Also it's hilarious that somehow Piccolo is the more emotionally constipated brother. Piccolo, why u so smart and yet so dumb.

Every once in a while I’ll remember this fic and come check it. And it’s always such a joy when I find it’s updated. I started reading this years ago and it remains one of my all time favorite fics. It brings a lovely complexity and world building to DBZ, the characters are a delight, the balance of angst and humor is perfect.

That last scene. Love it.

Thanks for keeping on with this over time. It’s a delight. I hope writing it is just as much of one.

This has been one of my favorite DB fics for ages. So glad you're still working on it, it's brilliant. The extent to which you've made me care about Cymbal is ridiculous.

I've been reading this story since the very beginning. It's amazing that you still manage to knock out a chapter after all these years. Your version of Piccolo has pretty much been my headcannon for over a decade. Thank you! :D

I’m conflicted here. On the one hand I feel like letting out a fan squeel on a level only comprehensivable by dogs, in the next galaxy bc you updated and it’s another unbelievable you great chapter...and on the other, Cymbal is probably, most likely dead, and Piccolo isn’t going to arrive in any sort of time to do any good, and probably get into trouble himself, and godD &&it, you got me careing about Cymbal! So big Darth Vadar “Noooooo” going on...and I would not want it any other way! Love your work, please write on!
