I was re-reading this story today (I think I've already read it twice before), and I just caught the reference to the Thanksgiving Dean punched Josh. It would be interesting to read a oneshot about that ... :) haha.

Anyways, I really enjoy this every time I read it. I love the way you portray Sam as he struggles with who he is and the kind of life he wants to have. And I really enjoyed the scene where Mac gave Sam his ring: "Sometimes life chooses you" is exactly right.

I could list everything I liked about this but then I'd be quoting the whole story, so I'll just end with a thank you for sharing this! It was great.

You gotta love that, even while sitting in a freezing, totalled car, bleeding out and concussed, Dean and Caleb have a sense of humour. 8)

And isn't Sammy cute, coming to the rescue? Wth Scout in the passenger seat, which is just ADORABLE!

And, as I love Bobby but don't seem to see him much in the Brotherhood series, I adored the end of this chapter. 8D

Is it weird that the mention of a fictional dog's death makes me sad? ... I miss Atticus already. 8(

I love the transitions between scenes in this chapter, with Sam and Dean saying or thinking the same thing. And what's not to love about the flashback in the flashback in the flashback?

But then, of course, there was some angst slipped in with a suspenseful ending, so onward I go!

Wow. It's been a few months since my last review, but I'm back for more re-reading of the fabulous Brotherhood series. And what makes it even more awesome is the fact that I have no idea what this story is about... It's like reading it for the first time! 8)

Despite the fact that I'm all hyped to read and review... this is the only chapter I can read tonight, but I shall return soon, to enjoy a good read, and push that review count up even higher!

Love the Dean/Caleb relationship in this, showing all sides of it.

I liked Sam's little 'adventure' and the conversations with Scout and it was nice to see how Sam and Dean got their rings.

i'm just rereading this fic, awesome as usual, but i got to say i would love to read about the time mac hit bobby cause of the stunt bobby pulled on caleb. love the protective mac. also would kill to read the scene about dean breaking joshua's nose at christmas, lol! any chance of u ever writing those? anyway, can't wait for the updates on heroes revisited and paper tiger.

I've been slowly working my way through your Supernatural fics, and I love every one of them. You really capture the heart of Sam and Dean very well, and I love the Brotherhood twist. Caleb a very interesting and complex character, and I've enjoyed reading about him. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that I have something in common with Caleb... I attended Auburn University :)

I also liked seeing Sam in a bit more of a heroic role in this story. I realize that placing Sam in danger in most of your stories is a way to explore Dean's protective instincts and the nature of the brother's relationship, but Sam is also a hunter, and a well trained warrior. Of course, I haven't yet real all of your stories, so forgive me if this critcism is premature, but it does seem that you are portraying Sam as a constant Damsel in Distress and overlooking how truely strong he really is. Though I must admit, it is great for ramping up the angst level.

I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your work. Please keep more comming :)

Awesome story! The ending of the flashback/dream really took me by surprise! Can you tell I am working my way through the Brotherhood stories? Of course, I had already read a bunch of them and read everything new as it is posted. I should be packing up stuff, as I am moving to a new house, but I just get so involved in these great stories!

Me again! I just read And Innocents (for the second time) and I have to say, it was really good! I especially liked the way you had the flashbacks of how Dean and Sam got thier rings. The format kept it interesting and of course the characters were swimming in their brotherhood awesomness! Also, I was wondering if you will be writing (or have written) the story where Dean breaks Josh's nose at Christmas (squeels at the image) I think it would make a great story!
