Loved the Watchmen reference: it fits. Really interesting plot you've here. An immortal chosen one who's sick of everyone and everything.

The lack of punctuation really shows Anakin's frame of mind, and gets the point across.

Oh that's a really good ending. But Padme is dead! :( Sad, but a very good story. I like the idea of Anakin being the immortal Chosen One who is forever cursed to save the universe again and again. Nice work!

Where do I begin? The idea is brilliant. The whole thing has a feeling of acceptance and despair. Were the only options for the Chosen to die quick or slow? To submit to flames and lightening and die in his son's arms or to slowly rot away from the inside with nothing human left. More machine than man indeed.

But we never wanted our villains or our heroes to be human any way.

Very powerful fic, I enjoyed it greatly.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was "yippee! A new fic by vader-incarnate!" The last thing I thought was

"Oh.

My."

I wanted to quote the whole thing, I swear it was that good. Truthfully, I had a hard time reading it; this coming from a hardcore lover of angst, too! You're evil, woman, do you know that? Evil genius, that is. *winces in sympathy for final* Too bad it takes that to produce such fantastically dark art!
