This has been a fun series. You kept them in character, which I applaud. The number one thing about the MaxAlec pairing, is that writers usually have them out of character. Good work!

To the absolutely hilarious fight with Joshua.

I love a good mix of humor and angst. He wants her enough to fight his friends and get carted around like a child, but he doesn't want her to hate him and it is so damn sweet.

"Black eye, teeth marks, hickeys, scratches, bruises, strained muscles, and chafing aside, I felt phenomenal." HAH!

"Or maybe she'd smile, thank me, and give me a blowjob." I also reacted with 'Hah!' to this, but more of a 'Hah, good luck with that.'

""I'm not hungry." Well, at least it was a response, choked though it was. I bit back the urge to say something clever about her appetite – even I knew this wasn't the time." - Look at that self-preservation instinct, hard at work. I still laugh at how quickly he would have died, though.

This is basically my favorite line ever.

I liked the repetition of 'something sturdier for next time.'

The way you chose for him to find out she's pregnant was absolutely awesome. From her hitting him to the whole have sex/not have sex argument. The voicemail? Excellent.

"I mean, shit, what if it did have a tail?"

The "Doug" chapter is all forms of wonderful. Mostly in the comedic way.

The satisfaction in having Alec point out that Max never went to Logan for heat relief was absolute. This is happiness that I feel right now.

"Logan opened the door and poked in his stupid, glasses-wearing, smug, superior, unwanted, interrupting head. "- He's always been an interrupting head. I've always felt that way.

You know, on the second reading, I somehow missed when he said the thing about how a mix of them both, aka the child would be an utter nightmare, but it was fucking hilarious so I thought I'd mention it even if it wasn't in order.

Happy continued writing with whatever it is you're working on.

Okay, I read this one before too, but I'm going back through because A, I'm nice like that sometimes, B, I have work for another six hours, oh wait, five, but still... and C, I really don't mind reading it again. I will endeavor to survive.

So, first, I have to discuss how insanely much I love Borrowed Time, just as an episode (minus the gossamer thing I could have done without and the M/L tonsil hockey everyone could have done without) and I absolutely loved the pool game, even though Alec lost. I actually liked it better because of that because I love him, but he needed losing. But also, I love the look in Max's eye watching him.

Don't worry, I'll get to your story.

"Seize the cat" is great. I love heat fics. Everyone needs at least one and needs to read about 300. Also, it is possible I've read this fic before, awhile ago, cause it was familiar beyond just the fact that I've read about a million heat fics. So if I've reviewed already, sorry... I'm sure you'll be really broken up about it.

"Maaax…" She smiled. "C'mon, fifty bucks, and you get to humble your old buddy Alec." I slid the fifty into my back pocket. In the unlikely – no, make that nigh-impossible — event that she did win, I would make her get the fifty herself.- I hope to dream about this tonight. With me in the Max role.

This whole thing is so hot. I love the competition and how it is all about Max every step of the way and she knows it, too, the little bitch.

Can I just say, also, that I love your use of first person? Most of the time I find it irritating, but not here.

"Max named me. She's the only one who could use my name like that."

Love the mention of that here.

OK it's now 2am and my eyeballs feel like they will pop out and roll across the floor- but because you wrote such a funny, sexy yummy Alec story - you get a final review from me and hopefully enough happy gooey flutters to compel you to write another chapter of this beautifully written gorgeously faithful Alec/Max have a gift.

Honest to God - it's right up there with my top 3 favourites. So for God's sake keep writing this story until Squall at least graduates from college. Sigh...now I can go to sleep and dream of being Mrs Alec McDowel... pregnant... after heat induced sex with Mr No Underpants Under His Chinos.
