This is one of the best one-shots I have ever read with this pairing! I now believe that this is what happened before the canon FF7 began. I wish there was more, but this was excellent all by itself.

Is there another chapter? I'm asking this because I want to see the rest of the story...since I got hooked on it.

It's a very interesting start you have here, I love your characters, how very not clichéd and one-dimensional they are, the way they interact with each other, how human they can be and oh my, the plot sounds damn interesting! I can't wait to get to the sequel.

My goodness, that was so well written and felt surprisingly, smoothly and without trumpets, authentic. It was beautiful and the small shots are memorable like Zack seeing them together to keep warm.

Funny bits I loved:

memories of a certain ill-fated attempt at snowboarding came to mind.

How you managed to get everything into a one shot is beyond me. A complete slice of the whole, but a whole in itself. Loved it. Would love more, though this was written a long time ago...so perhaps unlikely.

It had a real feel about it. I loved the Seph you gave and the Cloud - Zack was just Zack *grin*. And Seph asking Zack to do the necessary, if he turned bonkers.

THE REVIEWING FOOL

Stunning. Really. It's quiet, understated, down-to-earth, utterly believable, and still, above all else, tragic. Wonderful fleshing out of both characters and plot. Sephiroth's confusion and anger (indignation, hah) rings true to character, but Cloud? You do something with Cloud that makes me somehow, suddenly understand him and understand, in turn, how cool, reserved, and deeply lonely Sephiroth might fall in love with this unassuming yet tough little cadet with eyes that burn with promise. This story is a gem.

lol, i love how Sephiroth can /never/ remember Aerith's name. and this is a very interesting alternate beginning to the story...but i wish you'd have continued the story according to /your/ turn of events )

I like how this turned out too. You are a great writer and that is all that there is too it. )

Imagine my frustration after reading such a fabulous story and going anxiously to find the next part of the story only to find it was not something I wanted to even touch
