Reviews for Transfigured Hearts 30: Out of the Ashes
Guest chapter 6 . 12/30/2016
I'm crying! This was one of the best RLNT series I've ever read. Ever. If it the best. All the fluff, angst, humour was so well written. I'm jealous.
Bambi2900 chapter 6 . 7/3/2016
Absolutely loved this whole series, I thought you captured both Remus' and Tonks' essences perfectly throughout. Sorry I haven't reviewed them all but I couldn't wait to read the next installment each time (selfish, I know, but this is a story I'll definitely be back to read in the future so I'll endeavour to be a better person then ;-) ).
Wild Magelet chapter 1 . 6/29/2016
I love this whole series beyond expression. I've just read the whole series again in order, and it's just perfection. The best OotP and HBP comprehensive development of Remus and Tonks's relationship out there, I think. I prefer to believe that this ficverse doesn't follow DH, though, because it bothers me enough that Remus breaks Tonks's trust and shows no character growth at all by exactly repeating his previous behavioural pattern in canon. Your Remus has enough self-awareness and respect for Tonks that I can't see him doing it to her. So I'll just live happily in denial and give them a mental HEA after this. :-)

You know how much I adore and admire your writing, but it really comes to fruition in this final instalment, which I'm about to re-read yet again for the feels! It was a sound decision to write from Remus's POV, I think, because his character really suffers from only viewing his actions through secondhand eyes - certainly from Harry's perspective in canon, and I think even from Tonks's perspective in fic. The choices he makes could easily be interpreted in several negative ways, but by giving him a voice, it really gives life to the anguish he feels and how torn he is between what he wants and what he thinks is best.

3 it all. Xx
Rowena Hills chapter 6 . 4/28/2016
This was one of the most well written and heart touching piece of writing I have ever read
mysticalphoenix-avalon chapter 6 . 4/14/2016
Hi there. Lovely, lovely pieces. Brilliantly done. I've enjoyed my literal buds throughly and fell in love with every each of them. Thank you.
Yorik chapter 2 . 11/20/2013
"He focused on a tear in her shoulder seam, and made a mental note to mend it for her later."

Perhaps I'm just being sentimental, but something about this sentence is so simple and lovely. It sums up Remus' feelings for Tonks in a single sentence.
RollWithIt chapter 6 . 10/1/2013
Fantastic series! Thanks for posting and finishing every part!

ohdear-ohdear chapter 6 . 7/23/2012
I just wanted to tell you that the Transfigured Hearts series was simply amazing. I read it about 4 or 5 years ago, in .net. I remember it was what first got me into reading fanfiction and, for that, I'll be forever in debt with you. You're an amazing writer.
Thank you, thank you, thank you :)
Sonya Rivers chapter 1 . 9/1/2011

Oh, Merlin. Oh, dear Merlin. I can't possibly tell you how much I adored and enjoyed and how truly much I got addicted to this one Transfigured Hearts saga. Now that I think of it, it's quite a shame that, after all I've thought throughout the chapters and all the mental notes I've made to myself to tell you this or that later, there's propably a lot that will be left out in this review. There are hundreds of beautiful thoughts, phrases and entire scenes in this fic, and my poor memory won't give them enough justice. Anyway! Where to begin, really? Well, first off, let me just tell you that this is, officially, the version of the story I'm gonna keep about those too. You made everything fit so perfectly with the books! (So that I made the resolution of reading them again, not only because I really think I forgot all their little but none the less present moments -or, if the rather official looking ones here were not true, at least to keep the story straight which never hurts- but also because, assuming and hoping that they are, they will be ten times greater now that I'm gonna match the events with the ones laid out here

One of the facts that surprised me the most was that the chapters sometimes got really long, and even the dialogues lacked; it was pure narration exposing, all within the perception of Remus, facts about himself or about the other main characters, or even serious ones involving, for example, Order business, and it was done in a way that was so smooth and realistic that instead of bothering me or making the chapters feel tedious and dramatic (like it tends to happen with most fics, or at least some kind of them), I couldn't get enough. I admit, of course I got mad and frustrated and desperate with most of Remus' thinking, but it was according to the plot in itself, not because I wanted him to stop whining or anything of the like xD I felt his sorrow, his isolation; I understood his complexes, his fears; I related to his impotence. And I'm not saying that it's because I'm a lot like him, but because you made it comprehensible. I'm telling you, I literally laughed, cried and got pissed all together while reading these many chapters. I loved Remus, I loved Tonks, I loved Sirius; they were just as the books let us know they were, or how they could be, because we all know Rowling didn't expand herself too much with them Which, of course, makes me think about the horrible end our perfectly imperfect couple had to meet, making me feel upset AND angry all over again T.T

To me, everything followed a perfect line of facts; we got to see them evolve from merely fancing each other, to getting to know one another, to feeling cautiously but truly happy together, to then facing society's and inner demons' obstacles, and finally to them accepting their love with its highs and lows, being aware of the troubles that were sure to come but at the same time willing enough to stick together through whatever the may end up being. And the process was just marvelous: they flirting, the coyness, the nervousness, the happy incredulity, the dececpions along the way, the trust matters... Not only was it captivating according to their own romantic story, but it also included along the way really deep and realistic cavillations, really heartfelt messages about love and relationships, not necessarily depending on a werewolf of a boyfriend or on a metamorphmagus of a girlfriend u.u

And, of course, I have to mention the parts perfectly played by secondary but none the less essential characters, such as already mentioned Sirius, and also Molly and Arthur, and Mad-Eye.. heck, I think even Snape u.u

Really, I'm still in awe Your talent is obviously shown, as also are the time and effort you put into the story. For all that, and as a humble good-fanfiction appreciator, I am grateful )

I am happily aware, though, that this doesn't quite end here. From what I see, after this follows Don't Look Back, and then Maks and Mirrors, right? I do hope I get to read them soon enough, but considering school is just about to begin, the full disposition those fics most probably deserve won't be that easier to have as I did with Transfigured Hearts :P And, of course, I'll most likely want to read your other Remus/Tonks stories.. I don't promise reviews like this one, but I will try to leave one or two along the way :P (believe it or not, I'm rather a proud lurker ;P)

I hope you don't find all this too disgustingly flattering; I didn't say anything I didn't truly think D

So, I guess that was all :P Like I said, I'll try to read you soon!

P.S. Oh! I almost forgot. I don't know if there is any chance of you actually replying this, but I seem to have a question for you :P You know the part where you mention the Montgomery kid that was killed by Greyback while Remus was still on his mission? One of his tremulous flashbacks was of the mother pleading for the life of his child, Teddy. I couldn't help but to, obviously, associate it with their future baby, who we all now know Remus and Tonks called Teddy, and I thought “hey, very interesting way to filter it in”. But then was when I noticed that TH was last updated in 2006, so, not having the Deathly Hollows published yet, how is it that you named him that? Is there any record that the Montgomery child was named Teddy or did you just randomly and obliviously named him that?:P I suppose the latter is the answer but still, it woke my curiosity and, if anything, now you know that I was amazed and intrigued for a while, respectively :P
Nocturna Mae chapter 6 . 8/16/2009
I really liked this series!

You did a wonderful job of making Remus and Tonks' relationship very real and realistic, as well as keeping them in character.

Some grammatical errors still slipped through, but overall the story was well-written.

Thanks for writing such an enjoyable series!

I forgot to add this to the part six review...

I've had this window (not always the same one, mind you) open to your story for like... a week at least. It's always been there, minimized or behind my other windows. I will miss it being there, waiting to be read, my spot marked.

You could write more to keep my windows happy and occupied.
