That was one of the most in-character Max Payne fic I've read so far, if not the most.
The more I read, the more I realized how your fanfic stood out. I'm not a fan of Mona, so the fact that it was post-one and about Michelle definitely had an impact on me.
I absolutely loved it.

Er. wow. I'm not sure. Does this mean Max is going to the dark side? Well, no matter what he's doing, the way you got him there was great. I really liked he way you made sure the reader got the picture of a completely broken man. My only real complaint is the repetetive nature of his comments but, then again, this is Max Payne after all. Awesome work!
