I just started watching Death Note the anime watched till episode 3 this is a really unique take on a character who was only shown for a minute or less you managed to build character in just a few paragraphs you made him seem like a real person not just some background character that no one even bothers to remember you really make people think after they read this story this was so sad I love it I did feel a bit sorry for Lind being bait even though he was a criminal but this was really emotional really well written

Wonderfully written and characterized. You can feel the prisoner’s desperation and acceptance at L’s demands, and the bitter joy he feels when he eats the cake. On the other hand, you can clearly see that L is mechanical, almost heartless by the way he interacts with his prisoner-by not really interacting at all. Ingenious and a wonderful little addition that could have happened in canon.

This story does a great job going into the background of a character who only really appears for about 10 seconds in the original series. It adds a great deal of depth and makes the character more tragic which makes his demise more impactful. This Oneshot does a great job giving characteristics to a character that is really one dimensional in the original series and makes us care about him in a way the original show did not.

I know officially have a #2 favorite character for Death Note.

Wow, an impressive filler. You wrote L's cold nature to criminals and such perfectly. We never really got to know this Tailor guy, but really, he only showed up in like two pages of the manga and ten seconds in the anime xD

Anyways, I liked the character you gave Lind. Heehee, the strawberry part was funny and the emotions he showed at the end were beliavable. But what a harsh 'birthday present' xD

The only thing is, I would think he'd be a little older than 24. Probably around Mikamai's age (27-28).

Wow. I've not seen many people write about Tailor. It's an interesting insight in his last day. And it's also interesting to view L through the eyes of such a character. He's so cold this way.
