MorgantheFae chapter 11 . 2/15/2018 Dammit, Kyouya. Of course he bet on the outcome. And of course he won. He’d never lose when money is involved. And Nekozawa is still on about doing Rocky Horror! And the twins! I’m laughing so hard right now. Of course, it’s been a long time since you’ve written anything for Ouran, but i feel like someone’s going to have to write that eventually. |
MorgantheFae chapter 9 . 2/7/2018 Is it possible to root for both Kasanoda and Nekozawa, even though they’re now on different sides? I’ll have to find out, as that’s what i’m feeling right now. They’re both being pretty cool. I can definitely assure the twins that Nekozawa has a fanbase. The girls, too – Renge and Haruhi are so cool this chapter. And i /knew/ Kyouya was in on it! |
MorgantheFae chapter 8 . 2/7/2018 I’ve heard that all anime villains worth their salt must pretend to be a conductor at some point. Nice to see Renge keeping up the tradition. I love hypercompetitive Ranka, too. He makes such a great final boss. And the scene with Honey, Mori, and Chika was another great fight scene. |
MorgantheFae chapter 6 . 2/7/2018 I am so very disappointed Nekozawa is now out of the competition, but at least he had a super-cheesy, drawn out death scene to make me feel better. And he made a David Bowie reference with his dying breath, which i can only ever approve of. I also have hope that just because somebody’s been eliminated from the game, it doesn’t seem like they’re done yet. I was just thinking that Kyouya’d been staying out of the spotlight for the past few chapters when Tamaki fell into his trap. |
MorgantheFae chapter 5 . 1/8/2018 Oh, i laughed so, so hard at Hikaru and Kaoru’s “GPS”. Those guys really are spoiled. Maps aren’t that hard to read. It’s not much of an exaggeration to say i spent the rest of the chapter cheering for Nekozawa. I was worried when the twins shot his wig that he was eliminated already, but fortunately they just took off the wig and awoke the beast. He was so cool fighting them as a horror movie villain, and he even took out Kaoru! :D On the one hand, i was kind of touched by the twins’ emotional moment of parting, but on the other, i was hoping for Nekozawa to cut them off mid-emotion and take out Hikaru too. But then, i guess on thing they have in common is a sense of pageantry, although they express it differently. And then he did get Hikaru! YYEEESSSSSSSSS! The fight scenes in this chapter were so great. |
MorgantheFae chapter 3 . 1/3/2018 Hahaha, i know that “You just keep doing that voodoo that you do so well” is a song reference, but i can’t for the life of me place it. I just keep thinking of Blazing Saddles. But it’s perfect for when Tamaki’s giving everyone orders and gets to Nekozawa. Ah, i love Nekozawa. That was my recurring thought for this chapter. He’s the best. And you’ve nailed everyone’s characters so well. Never let it be said that the twims aren’t well-read. Or, for that matter, that they aren’t prepared to dive in all the way. This sounds like so much fun. I wanna play too. So now we’ve got, the Orange Team, the Blue Team, the Aku-brothers team, and the Newsies team, right? The fan club probably weren’t prepared for that, but i be they’re enjoying the plot twist. Okay, wild speculation time. If my theory that Kyouya’s in on it is right, then he must have made sure he’d end up on the same team as Haruhi, since he was worried about her. |
MorgantheFae chapter 2 . 12/30/2017 Only a few paragraphs in, and i know Kyouya’s responsible. “I must have metabolized the gas more quickly than the others”? Really? So he must have teamed up with Renge? He must have, i can’t imagine after that gas mask thing and him waking up much earlier than the others is a coincidence, but it doesn’t seem like his style… unless he’s a red herring? Maybe Mori saw someone else in a gas mask and thought it was Kyouya? I’m overthinking this, i know. But wait! Maybe he thought indulging the fan club would be good for profits? They’re probably selling DVDs and pay-per-view of the event. I love that Haruhi’s answer to “Where’s your sense of adventure?” is “In a box under my bed.” Oh, Haruhi, stay secretly sassy forever. |
MorgantheFae chapter 1 . 12/14/2017 Well, SOMEONE’S definitely scheming something. I dunno what’s going on yet, but it looks pretty interesting! My working theory was that someone figured making all these bitter enemies spend the weekend together will make them start getting along, but that ending threw me off. Is this a scheme of Kyouya’s? It must be, since he’s got a gas mask, right? I laughed out loud at Nekozawa’s line “You know, there’s always /my way out./” I do believe that’s a reference to The Haunted Mansion referencing The Princess Bride. Surprisingly appropriate for Nekozawa. |
Shay Blair chapter 11 . 10/8/2014 This was amazing! You managed to keep everyone perfectly in character, and the overblown dramatics everyone had pretending it was real was exactly on point for the Host Club. This was so much fun to read. |
Lady Moe chapter 11 . 8/9/2013 Funny, entertaining, well-written, and in character. Nice work. -L.M. |
mtnikolle chapter 11 . 7/12/2013 Nicely done. |
mtnikolle chapter 7 . 7/12/2013 lol. Well, Sakyou-Haruhi was almost as anti-climactic as can be expected for these two, but satisfying none-the-less. Whatever Kuze is up to has me curious, ditto how things will go down between Chika-Honey and Haruhi-Ranka. Though, I expect that both Player 10s will be defeated, it'll be fun to see exactly how you have it play out :) |
mtnikolle chapter 6 . 7/12/2013 Shiro did excellent work in this chapter - even if Honey and Mori managed to get him. The continuing Kyoya-Tamaki is sure to be interesting, and the Sakyou-Haruhi confrontation has so much potential... |
mtnikolle chapter 5 . 7/12/2013 OMG! I love, love, love the Nekozawa-Hitachiin showdown! Fantastic! I'm also really enjoying the various references to other fandoms - though I have no doubt that I'm not catching them all (I'm not even sure that I can name all the ones I "recognized"). Awesome. |
mtnikolle chapter 4 . 7/11/2013 Of course Tamaki slipped on banana peals! Nothing could be more fitting :) |
