I love the character of Mac, but usually, I hate anything involving Dick as a main character. I've always just plain hated the character.

What made me like this fic was Mac's confusion, sorrow, pain, and her desire to by into the delusion of Cassidy not being a serial killer along with Dick's pain. In my opinion, he's a sociopath, but I do believe he did love Cassidy and would feel shattered by his death.
