Love this story every time I read it

I read this every year and I still love it!

Fascinating. I'd never heard of any of these books.

Full disclosure: I've never read BatmanxRobin before. BUT, I've read some comics from the era and too many discussions on the topic before so I already had an opinion set before I read the fic.

This is so well done. The 'squicky' aspects aren't hidden with a convenient handwave, they're presented frankly and perfectly. Some of the more disturbing parts (losing his virginity to Bruce at 9!) made me want to stop reading, but your writing brought me back. Also, Robin's one liners are just killer. :)

I suddenly need a serious version of this fic, where the Titans gets Robin away from Batman, and he's protesting it the whole time, but eventually he comes to see what was done to him, and they can't do anything to Bruce because Gotham needs him, but they can sure as hell protect Robin.

Oh, well, this is just as cute and clever as it gets! I love the double story-the 50's comic, the Werthan sub-text, the modern view of sexuality and the reasonableness of their relationship. But it is still wrapped in the dress and set-up of the 50's. Bruce gets dressed with his briefcase for work and leaves on the dot. You did a great job of making all these different things work together! You mixed them up in a blender and hit the button and guess what, it worked! So many good ideas going on here, I just wish I had read it earlier. Thanks for the great satire (no, I hadn't forgotten it is satire) and for the serious dealing with their deep personal problems by loving each other. That is very sweet and makes sense. Thanks for this great story! Congratulations on another triumph.

Cute and clever. As you did in the last chapter, we have a 50'd comic story the one difference being that the subject is not hiding the secret identity but hiding the secret sexuality. And yes, they are in the closet. got that one! Clever and fun. Thanks for this new take on the myth.
