Sorry, could you please explain this passage about Slughorn and James's and Lily's (I think) prank?

"Ah, and the star team! What do you have?" Slughorn approached them with avid interest, having saved them for the last. He paused for a moment when he caught the herbal smell coming froum their cauldron, and frowned. Hesitantly, he took the last step and leant down to examine the substance. Slowly, as though not wanting to believe it, he asked: "A Boil-cure potion?"

Potter beamed at him, proud at his creation.

"Yes, sir."

Slughorn looked like he was going to cry. Evans stood up, closely surveyed the concoction, sniffed it, and matter-of-factly claimed: "It is perfect, sir."

Slughorn gulped.

"Very well…" He paused, harrumphed, and forced a smile. "You will each receive five bonus points." Jerkily, he turned around and aimed for his office. The bell rang, and there was another stampede – this time for the door. Severus stuck Newts on N.E.W.T.s into his bag, and walked out, closely followed by Potter and Evans."

Well, this story deserves more attention! Maybe a flashing notice that it's not as depressing as the Evil!Dumbledore story would do it? ;-)

It's a great story - so much so, I wish I knew what was going on around these three characters; this is more a pastiche than an immersion, and yes, I think I'd like to immerse myself in the changes that must be happening. Especially if you had Dumbledore creeping about the edges, trying to put together his little self-adulation society. Because you do that so very, very well.

And so very darkly.

If I beg ... PLEEEEAEEE ... can I see a new chapter? PRETTY PLEASE?

This is utterly brilliant. Makes me feel warm inside. Thank you so much. Do you, by any chance, have plans to finish this story? Because it's lovely. Feel kind of stupid for not having read it before - should have known you'd make it into something magical even if I do not like Marauder-era that much - usually.

This is a really nice story. It warms my heart to see these three helping each other. Hope that you will continue with this story some day. It is such a pity that this is abandoned.

i feel terrible for james.. crying, a hot mess... tsk tsk tsk. glad that severus is willing to help hi, even if it is because he gets something in return. i still love this story... i have to know what happens next!

snape is so witty and tries to act so careless.. but we all know deep down that he's a snuggly teddy bear! he is just too cute with all he banter of wits and so forth... i'm loving this story!

this is getting good... i have to read more... boy is severus shaken up by all this, then again i don't blame him! xoxoxoxoxo
