Cekil1 chapter 1 . 11/23/2019 Great job setting up the world and character motivations in this chapter! Looking forward to the rest. |
gump1098 chapter 4 . 9/27/2018 I'm very impressed. It's a good, well thought out, well charictarized story of the X-Men not as X-Men that's still pretty true to cannon. |
gump1098 chapter 3 . 9/27/2018 Ah, Scott and Jean's wedding. An event should have happened way before than it finally happened, and should have been ruined. |
gump1098 chapter 2 . 9/27/2018 Well, I think everyone were wondering what was up Warren meanwhile. Now we know. I know he can make a great work leading his company. |
gump1098 chapter 1 . 9/27/2018 wow that was good! |
Protector of Canon2 chapter 4 . 5/2/2007 I'm very impressed. It's a good, well thought out, well charictarized story of the X-Men not as X-Men that's still pretty true to cannon. Now if only you were still writing it... |
jenskott chapter 4 . 6/24/2006 Scott and Jean have been my favorite characters since I have read the X-Men. And I absolutely love how you depicted them. They were Cyclops and Marvel Girl how they were. How they should have keep being. I hate Scott's current characterization and I don't care for Phoenixed Jean (Give me human, relatable, LIKEABLE Scott and Jean any day). So thanks. I really enjoyed this. It's a pity you don't write more X-Men based fics. BTW, other thing I like of your stories is you use the full Marvel Universe. Too many fanfiction writers ignore or disregard altogether the rest of the Marvelverse, like if the mutants lived in a vacuum. |
jenskott chapter 3 . 6/24/2006 Ah, Scott and Jean's wedding. An event should have happened way before than it finally happened, and should have been ruined. M... If Scott leaves and Alex becomes the new team leader, maybe he won't develop that irritating inferiority complex some writers used to justify Evil!Alex. Again, you show the width of your X-Men knowledge. Many of the characters you use have been in Limbo for decades now (God, you are using BERNARD!). I wonder what could have happened if Zelda hadn't been quickly dumped off the books after Bobby met Lorna (even though Byrne used the character again in Hidden Years). Could she have become a stable pairing to Bobby? Nah. There only is ONE couple in X-Men has endured several decades and changes of creative teams, and it has been trashed. Bobby/Zelda had no one prayer. But it's nice wondering. And putting it down in fanfiction. _ |
jenskott chapter 2 . 6/24/2006 Well, I think everyone were wondering what was up Warren meanwhile. Now we know. I know he can make a great work leading his company. And I was laughing aloud when his mother asked him if he had been doing something could have got him sent to jail. Again, you made a great exploration of what Warren had been up to that point. And While I love Warren/Betsy's pairing, I regretted Candy had got killed like that in the comics. A pity. |
jenskott chapter 1 . 6/24/2006 I have realized even though this story is put in My Favorites List, I haven't reviewed it. Oops. I'm sorry. Now... I am not a long-time fan. But since I began reading X-Men, the Original Five have been my favorite mutant team by far. Not only the team worked incredibly well in the battlefield and their members coordinated wonderfully -nowadays the line-ups of the X-teams are more fickle and brief than an Avenger rooster, and the members can't learn to work together efficiently-, but I loved the chemistry between them, their personalities, their relationships... And you have portrayed them very well. Seriously, I have read the entire original run and I'm amazed of your X-Men lore. You really know your Silver Age X-Men, not mistake here. You add details that I'm sure many fans have forgotten for now or don't know at all (you can't trust many fans to know what EXACTLY happened in comics published twenty years ago, so expecting they know what happened in the earlier issues...). I liked a lot Scott/Xavier talk. The characters were really, absolutely in character. You made a very detailed exploration of the ups and downs their relationship had suffered by then. And I like the idea of the original X-Men leaving the mansion after Z'noxx defeat. I can't recommend more this story. In fact I recommended this story to a friend of mine IS a long-time fan and knew the X-Men reading the first sixty-six issues of Uncanny (Cyke's fans have to help at each other in these dark times). He told me he really enjoyed it. |
Gadget chapter 2 . 6/19/2001 Very good. I was almost in tears after the first chapter. It's so touching because this is a real issue about leaving home and how hard it can be. I really enjoyed the story and I think you wrote it great. Keep up the great work. |
