This was a proper story with an excellent, gripping plot. I didn’t even guess who it was until it was revealed, hence a frantic push to the finish at 1am this morning. Loved it, thank you for sharing!

Wow! I love your stories. I love how original your ideas are! Like with the purple potion (I read that first) I've never found a fic that looks at similar ideas to this. I would have liked to see what happened to Dean and Ginny, and Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ritchie after the craziness died down but over all I love your story.

Same anon reviewer as on "The Keeper" recently. This story coheres a lot better and feels less contrived, perhaps because the main action - after the intro - takes place over a period of days, not decades, thus making the angst (with its various diversions, temporary confusions and misunderstandings, etc.) sustainable and realistic. Good mystery as well. I still wish Hermione could be just a little more self-assured and willing to believe Harry might actually be capable of loving her, but the loss of magic explained the vulnerability really well later in the story.

This is the best harry hermione story in mystery genre. You are one of the best hhr writer. Thank you so much for writing this fiction. Please come back and write some more if you can. All the best for your future.

Oh man, my heart is breaking for Harry

Good story. Well written, rich characterisations. I personally don't agree that Hermione would act this way towards Harry. She was always trying to get him to open up and talk, and she hates hypocrites. But it was fun to explore this AU. Thanks!

Hermione's argument is a little disingenuous here. If she really wanted Harry to decide on his feelings for her without the turmoil associated with what happened to her, she wouldn't have told him earlier that she may never tell him the truth. Keeping it from him for now is one thing, and perfectly forgivable, but keeping something so important from him forever? That's questionable in the extreme.

I think Harry would spend more time viewing the memories. They are key to getting up to speed in the case. He's playing serious catch up. No point talking to Ritchie unless he knew everything pertinent anyway.

Finally, I doubt very much that Hermione would feel like she betrayed Harry after more than two years. You don't mention it, but I doubt Harry went dateless and sexless for two years either.

This is a bloody awesome story so far.
