I was recently bit by the Gambit/Rogue bug after seeing the new fan-made short "Play for Keeps" and have been doing a deep delve for any good fics I can find. And this one certainly didn't disappoint! The way you write both Rogue and Remy is both entertaining and believable, and their chemistry shines through in every scene they have together. (May I just say - I'm a sucker for a usually-aloof Gambit pining in silence, and there was so much of that and it was wonderful.) I love every chapter that is from Sam's perspective - they have invariably made me laugh. I also appreciate his repetition of the Dune quote, adapted to different situations.
It seems that the action is just beginning to pick up in this chapter, and the appearance of (a Sentinel? because that was the first episode of the animated series, if I'm remembering correctly...) will certainly make things interesting.
I understand it has been a VERY long time since any updates have occurred, and I get that the inspiration or the motivation or just the time can leave. But I'll still leave a follow, and tell you you've done a wonderful job here and I greatly enjoyed your story.

Normally I’m not really into the movie-verse X men but hOly shit this fic has totally convinced me otherwise. I was completely and utterly hooked start to finish, and I managed to rip through this whole book in a single night. I’m so sad that its been left unfinished, especially at such a climactic point, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. Thank you very much for writing such a great story!
