Wow. This was really good. The progression of Sam's sensory deprivation was genuinely scary. And I loved that John actually showed up (unlike canon John [insert huge eye roll here]) and helped solve the problem. The coda from Sam's perspective topped it off well.

This is a very interesting idea for a story. I liked it! ! ! I liked how the brothers interact. Dean is there, helping, but Sam is not displayed as the damsel in distress. He's doing as much as possible alone. That's just how the show works, so the story is very coherent. Thank you for writing and sharing! :)

The feels in this hit me hard and I swear this stressed me out to no end...Dean breaking down with his dad at the end nearly was my undoing but the turnaround left me with a giant smile. Out of everything Sam and Dean have dealt with, to me this is the scariest. I can't think of anything worse than having your senses cut from you one by one till you're trapped in your own head. I loved this story though! Dean being a fumbling caretaker and their dad showing up was awesome. Thanks so much for the great story!

This was so good. That sensory deprivation has to be the worst kind of torture, and it made for an excellent mystery hunt/Sammy whump fic. Loved it all, even John leaving before Sam could see him and really interact with him. It's so very John. xo
