Milly's moment of Alone With The Psycho, and she LIVED, even after trying to kick his shins!

I do feel bad for Legato, knowing his backstory in the manga, but there might not be anything left of him to feel bad for anymore, when Vash killed him, that was a mercy.

I wish this was A03 so I could just click 'Kudos' because this is brilliant but I feel like commenting on something this intense is weird. It's good!

i expected something completely different. great story. i guess letting someone know what other people(especially the ones who are important to him/her) really think about him/her can hurt very very legato-like to do it to milly just to see her !

Poor, poor Milly - she went in for ice cream and got served a big bowl of nihilistic crap instead, sprinkled with pretension. She's lucky Legato didn't try to eat HER. I just love your sophisticated style! The characterization was perfect, and it was great how you cleverly let us see the flaws in the characters that give them depth. Millie's sweet nature saves her yet makes her vulnerable to harm, and Legato isn't quite as clever as he thinks, since he needs to tap Millie for information. This story has a moral, too, which is skillfully presented by the characters' movements and words: as long as there is one optimist like Milly to cancel out each terrorist like Legato in the world, humanity will be okay. bravo, and please do write more fic!

Ooh. Milly v Legato. It's nice to see that she, ultimately, holds her own. I think that any of the others wouldn't have been able to dismiss the incident as completely as she did, and that, I think, is her strength as a character. Brava! Very wonderful, and very in-character. I could definitely see this happening. I adore how you write Milly. Please, keep it up!

When I first encountered this story, I was expecting something completly different, but was sweetly surprised with this story. The idea is purely original. I think you did a great job with Legato- he's so sly, handsome, and yet creepy. I would deeply encourage you to write more with him. I wonder where this idea originated...

Oh yeah, and compliments to your writing: I loved all the detail and similes. You showed every action and described every expression! Too many author's rush through stories.

Milly is a really strong person. And if anyone sees her less than that, they are blinded. There is nothing wrong with her, and there should be more Millys in the world. As Legato, she must have bothered him the most if he would go to those lengths. Maybe without Milly, things could have been much worse for the group. Thanks for sharing.
