You know, I always wanted to pair off Valygar with Imoen - I just think they'd be lovely together (my main-story Imoen, though, won't be), and I'm pretty sure that letting him have strong feelings (of kinship or friendship or love) with a mage would help him put to rest all the ghosts that haunt him, though it'd take time and patience. He's another character I don't use too much, but recently I've gotten quite interested in him due to his appearance in my own storyline, so I'm becoming fascinated with all aspects of his character, and this was a nice read :)

Hmm... a pity that this story is only one-shot; you know, imho it could be quite interesting love story :) (but on the other hand, I can smell love story in almost everything, so you don't have to take me seriously :D )
