It's been years since this was posted, but I just wanted to say: Great work! It's beautiful nd almost perfectly in character (or as in character one can get in such a situation). It's hard to find good stories that stay good till the end. Thankyou for making my read worthwhile

I'm going to be honest... this is probably one of the greatest fanfictions I have ever read. It's right up there with Kamé, Kingdom of Umbra, and many others I have read. I live angst, and this story was DEFINITELY that, but what I love so much is the balance if grief and sorrow mixed in with the realistic process of grief and mourning. When I read this, I cried. And let me say that I almost NEVER cry when reading a story.

This s a magnificent piece if work Auster, and you should be VERY proud of it. I hope to read more astounding works by you in the near future :')

This gorgeous piece of work deserves a lot more reviews than it has. I want to thank you for writing this and sharing it with us all. You took something so heart wrenching and it turned it into a true, true bittersweet tale. And I love the mystery of this. Did Yami *really* see Yugi? Or was he simply just too far gone in his own head and made this whole fantasy up? It's beyond a doubt one of the most powerful things I've ever read. Yami's grief, and Yugi's friend's grief, were so powerful. You pulled that off so well.

Even though in actuality this story wasn't very long, it took me FOREVER to finish! It was just...oh my gosh it was one of the best stories I have ever read! Really! And I've read a lot of stories, mind you.

This was beautiful. Although I have no shame in admitting that the Emo!Yami in itself gave it about 10 bonus points.

Bakura: /pops in/ She has a thing for emotionally distraught Yamis. Don't ask. I think it spawned from her getting bored of the Yugi-torture and wanted Yami-torture instead.

This story was so sad, but it was planned out perfectly! Everything, down to the slightest detail...it was wonderful! Now I'm just repeating myself. But there are really no words to describe it!
