This is a beautifully-written story, but I wish we had gotten more from Naruto's point of view, what all he was going through in the aftermath of the Falls, and his battle with Sasuke, as well as what he went through again because of Sasuke. It's just as frustrating in this story as it is in canon that Sasuke was allowed to get away with murder, betrayal, and other crimes against Konoha ninja. And as Naruto mentioned, it was also as if Sasuke was being rewarded by being allowed to train under Jiraya, another Sannin, as well as the gifted Kakashi. Then poor Naruto, who sacrificed so much to save Sasuke, actually had his chakra control, power, and even had his very soul diminished, and you ended it without making it better for him? That's just unfair to Naruto on so many levels, not to mention his fans. I would have welcomed a few more chapters about Naruto's travels with Jiraya and Neji, perhaps showing the two boys forging bonds of support and friendship they both needed so badly, as well as Naruto's being put back together again, so to speak, soul, mind and body. That would have balanced out the story better, rather than being more pro-Sasuke most of the time. I guess if you're born an arrogant Uchiha, you literally can get away with murder, and everything's okey-dokey with everyone.

That is a surprisingly angsty but happy take on what could happen. So much better than I thought it would be. I especially enjoyed the dynamics between Neji and Naruto (a totally under appreciated bond). This has to be the best non-ship fic I've read thus far. I'm glad I staved off doing homework to read this.
