You know, there's just something oddly comforting about a story like this. No chakra-made ninja mechs, no weird aliens eating god-trees, no forced romance - just a simple, angsty story about Naruto and Sasuke and friendship. A lot of the more recent reviews seem to forget (or never really knew, perhaps) what this series was like back when this was written. Ah, the days where everyone "knew" Itachi was unforgivable, Sasuke wasn't yet an emotionless puppet, Tobi was just a grunt, and the Kyuubi was out for blood. It's fun reading fanfiction from back then, and this was no exception. I rather enjoyed this - it was very nostalgic despite the fact that I'd never read it before. The emotional moments hit hard, and characters like Sasuke and Kakashi especially felt really genuine.

Glancing at your profile, I'm glad to see you still continuing to write even now. If this is what you could accomplish 13/14 years ago, I can only imagine where you're at now. Good luck with all future fics, and happy writing! :)

Funny enough I don't actually think it's that weird that the two of them recovered that quickly. Since the largest inhibitor of recovery was actually more psychological than physical right? Since both of them are obviously willing to go to absolutely ridiculous extremes to ensure the safety of the other it stands to reason that if ensuring safety/happiness meant a change in thought then that change would be done in a heart beat.

Sorry to say but akatsuki was dangerous on a international scale because they were all s rank ninja some of who are known to be able to destroy whole villages. Like madara or pein. And I'm pretty sure most of those villages are huge. With pretty much one shot.

This story was an absolute thrill to read! I appreciate your use of proper grammar and proper editing. I also enjoyed the descriptive depths into mood, atmosphere, setting and character development.
