What's with this objectifying Sakura? Just cause the start of the Naruto canon was sexist af, doesn't mean it stayed that way. At least let us have some gender equality in the fics, man.
No more referring to people as *property*. This is a ploy that's overused and seldom works. Scratch that- it never works.
If you truly want to show a person's possessiveness, think of creative scenarios. Don't take shortcuts. It also helps to show the moral alignment of the characters, which is uber useful. I.e.: in this fic, you portray as a sort of neutral good/ chaotic good/ lawful neutral. If you had been more descriptive about his feelings towards Sakura, you could help us pinpoint his moral alignment and predict his moves.
Describing one's possessivness actually works EXTREMELY well, to attract readers, straighten the plot, and pinpoint moral alignment and moral changes. This is a GOLDEN KEY of writing fics I'm giving you . Use it well, even minimally, but it has a large impact if dine correctly. Finesse is essential.
Remember, Quality Quantity.

But seriously... that escalated quickly. And isn't Itachi ultimately supposed to be wise and caring? Since towards his end he was, we have to use that information to make assumptions on how he'd act in situations like these (i.e. infatuation). Possessive Itachi... psychopath Itachi... sociopath Itachi... and abusive Itachi... have to be written with the utmost finesse to do such a good character justice. Work on the backstory, maybe?
